Maybe the countdown is based off Pacific Time and the announcement is happening 1 hour before tickets go on sale (October 2nd - 12am PT)? 

The concert usually finishes past midnight, so it’s the first exact hour after it ends.

If all the main shows are recorded (ATL, LA, Houston) then its not farfetched that they've already been putting it together.

No way she’s releasing videos same day as eras movie release. 

Beyonce cutting the opening ballad section would be a massive mistake...lets be real...she put it in there for a reason. getting GP eyes on her as a world class vocalist is not worth the exchange of anything else that could be in this film IMO. i hope & think Beyonce knows this...she has to.

Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE film has been in the works for 3+ years. The film is rumored to include footage from the pandemic, the recording of the Renaissance album, the filming of the album visuals, and the development of her world tour.

 

It's confusing and nothing is clear yet about the content of the film. It could just be a behind the scenes of the whole thing mixed with some performances but if that's the case i fear half of the tour will be cut and only the Renaissance songs will remain. 

 

Whatever is left probably will be released as an exclusive on Netflix to honor that contract IF there is a contract.

Sunday is a notoriously terrible day for a big announcement, most people aren't working (even in the news industry) so it won't get the desired media coverage immediately, and it'll get buried among other things when they catch up on Monday.

 

2 am ET is weird of course but she wants to be in the Monday morning news in EU and US. Europeans will need to scramble a bit to get it out so quickly, but it's enough time for US news shows to get their ish together.

i know they always hype every date up but the Twins specifically saying the last day of the American tour and not just the last day of the tour could mean something

English isn't their first language, they keep calling Beyoncé "monster" on instagram (when I think they mean "beast") 

 

so they might just be saying that because, well, this was the American leg. wouldn't put too much stock in their word choice.
