I fully think RWT is her best show (maybe #2 to Beychella). it is certainly not as geographically extensive as the MCSWT, but more people have attended RWT already (as of August 24) than the entirety of MCSWT, so there's an argument to be made for RWT there.

 

and cultural relevancy is a relative experience. monoculture is dead, so we don't necessarily have to see music news about anyone we don't want to. but among music stars, how is Beyoncé less culturally relevant than 2013? especially when it comes to touring.

More people have attended sure, but she's playing bigger venues (and I would argue her increased demand now is indirectly linked to how culturally big her previous tours were, therefor adding more to their merit). 
 

Thing is, when a big star like this goes to a foreign place that causes huge publicity and media coverage in said country/city. Therefore more people will be exposed to the news and know of said tour, whether they attend the concert themselves or not.

 

Celebrities are flocking to her shows yes but this time around it definitely feels more like a veteran performer tour compared to back in 2016, let alone 2013/14 when she still felt very much current. I fear her antics have caught up to her because I didn't hear and see much about outside internet spaces.

 

I don't know, time will tell but I don't really think this tour will be looked back upon as the defining moment

of Beyoncé's career as a performer. I'd say it will be a similar case to what the Sticky & Sweet Tour represents for Madonna. Recognized for its achievements (to an even lesser extent since that record is gone once taylor swift reports her numbers) but not considered to be the catalyst of her career.

I went last night, there was only one person who flopped with the challenge and there were people shushing her which made it worse like just shut up. She was just having a good time and the subconsciousness jumped out.

 

But lemme tell you Club Renaissance, Club Carter or whatever is the only ticket I'll be purchasing in the future. The seating area is just not the vibe, you have people there just to flex on the gram, on their camera roll the entire time not even watching the show, sitting down. The people around you elevates the experience and I need to be down there with the Hive again. Vegas Hive were literally so sweet, it felt like family and I will NOT be seated with the casuals again no ma'am. (also wasn't much of a pleasing experience because this girl smelled like fierce booboo from the butt)

FWT is her best tour hands down and it could have been the defining tour of her career as she was still riding the cultural relevancy that started with the digital drop, but it just wasn't extensive enough. The lack of any professional recording available also didn't help cement its status. 
 

I don't see much of a case for Renaissance tbh. It's probably just recency bias speaking for many. It's not her best show, not her most extensive tour, nor is she as culturally relevant as she was last decade, despite the considerably higher gross. 

You also lowkey hate Renaissance and think that POTS is the only good song in it so you are definitely biased about the tour. Renaissance is her signature tour and she has more cultural impact now than in 2016.

I don't think this is the catalyst of her career, obviously, by definition.

 

But in terms of "defining" tours, this is a big one. Recency is for sure helping, because being more recent means she has more songs to pull from. Half of MCSWT didn't even have Self-Titled yet, so it was 4 albums' worth of music. We're now up to 7 + EIL + The Gift. 

 

RWT is really a vocal showcase, an homage to the gays, and a dance party folded into one big celebration. That's kind of the definition of what and who Beyoncé stands for. 

 

starting with Dangerously in Love and ending the show with Summer Renaissance... that's what I call history.

Signature performance is Beychella

 

I am still torn between FWT and RWT, leaning towards the latter. I’m just mad Miami didn’t get the memories interlude. I need the tour to come around again!!!!

Just wanted to share at my show she stopped right in front of me as she starts bootylicious and I made her laugh cause I was trying to do the same moves. The way I searched youtube for both angles to prove we had that moment to people.. FWT will be my favorite tour for that very reason

You must have mistaken me for another user 'cause I never made any claims of the sort  Renaissance is up there as my favorite album of hers along ST (to which I'd still give the edge due to the videos) and while I do love POTS it is not my favorite (always been VG) nor do I think it's the only good song in the slightest wtf

Also her vocals still manage to be earth shattering, soundscape euphoria hearing it live. Like I literally watch all of the RWT performances on Youtube, but hearing it in person hits different like that's really coming out of a person oh wow. I've been to many high caliber shows of all sorts and no one is serving THAT. And the way she keeps improving each show, vocally and choreography.

RWT is her career-defining tour by a large margin. The production value is her most expensive, it's her highest grossing tour, highest attendance numbers, amazing setlist, she's her own opening act, and has iconic moments (e..g, AHAP/Bee costume, mute challenge, DIL Dubai, COZY performance). 

Not them having an impromptu karaoke competition at the airport. I’ve seen multiple videos lol

Its not recency bias with RWT, a lot of people think this is her best tour, because it is the most personable bey has ever been on a tour. She completely gave herself up on this tour like i never ever thought  she could do and it makes it very different from all her tours.

 

FWT was great...technically but i know some die hard beyhive who felt while it was great, it was cold.

 

RWT has the production, the VOCALS (her best singing since MRS CARTER TOUR), the music, the fashion and the connection. It has everything and for that reason it is her best.
