the album is already an established success...what's so necessary about visuals over a year later?

 

idc...her performances have MORE impact & a concert film release at the conclusion of this era is more significant at this point and should be the focus

girl I think you're reading too much into it. he probably got a little annoyed because they kept asking Beyoncé questions back to back when he already said he hasn't ever talked to her. otherwise, I think this is fully accurate:

Visuals helped launch her into the stratosphere. Beyonce wouldn't be Beyonce without the videos for CIl, Baby Boy, Irreplacable, Deja, SL... There are a million massive talents with gorgeous voices that have never went mainstream. 

 

Obviously at this point, she's already Beyonce. But she THE visual pop star and visuals mean a lot because SHE made them a lot. "I see music" didn't open the ST doc for no reason. She launched this entire era of her career off of the importance of visuals. If she'd come back with ST without a movie, she was gonna flop.

Lizzo is essentially being accused of being a horrible boss. Im sure Beyonce relates. Her earlier documentaries had quotes similar to "if I'm not sleeping, no bodies sleeping". I'm sure she's grown since then but still...

 

And the whole sexual assault aspect of the lawsuit is a reach. It's the equivalent of feeling pressured to drink at work socials despite no one making you drink, lizzo didn't sexually touch any of her dancers. She took them to a erotic show and "goaded" them to get involved, its definitely inappropriate for a "work" setting but it's not the same as sexually assaulting someone. I'm sure Beyonce took her dancers to Crazy Horse 

 

I fully believe that Lizzo was part of a toxic work environment, I hope they all get justice but justice doesn't necessarily mean Lizzo being cancelled as a person.

He literally knows the show she's playing for her birthday and the mute challenge, he's a fan on some level (not that he has to be), and doesn't want to say anything untowards whilst attached to a lie detector & on camera lol.

 

Also the questions are like "are you besties" and he's thinking, "I've never even met the woman"

I get why some might prefer a concert film to visuals, but we can also have both.

 

Ultimately they are very different bodies of work and the visuals will be able to tell a story the concert simply cannot. Like the formation tour is in no way a substitute for the Lemonade film.

This woman made Single Ladies (what Kanye said) and four visual albums. She adapted whole songs to fit the music videos when making ST.  Acting like visuals aren't a core part of her career is the kind of insane take I expect from OBHs, not stans.
