When I heard that she was doing Dance/House, I expected a certain sound and then she pivoted Renaissance to a direction only she could do. She will be coming with Baby lock them doors and turn the lights down low with trap beats. She always does something left-field and fuses genres like the maniac scientist she is.

There will always be a trailer, just a matter of how far ahead of the film (1 day? 1 week? A month?) Her stakeholders (Amazon/Netflix etc) will force her to have a trailer and some pre-release material. Surprise dropping a film is not really a smart move, the costs associated are way too big & Beyonce is not really a thing in the film industry. Very different medium, Taylor will be huge on Spotify but her Netflix doc/film cameos will barely make any noise

Even from a product life-cycle standpoint, tomorrow really ought to bring at the very least a trailer or at the very very least...a mentioned tease. Something, anything. 

 

I often (try to see) see a lot of logic in her annoying ways (as I stand by my belief that a lot of her "anti" antics are quite intentional in terms of how she wants her brand to be defined. Plus, she understands the assignment of when she has to "play the game" and skew commercial (Break My Soul, Cuff It). 

 

BUT...

 

Pushing an Act 1 "event" such as the visuals beyond the 1-year-anniversary of Ren is kinda futile. It will be BIK all over again. A very "beautiful gowns" scenario. We know the music, love the music, have it embedded in our minds, but have moved on to some degree. 

 

I like and borderline expect the visual to combine both Renaissance and something else that we've not heard. But even then hitching the "new" to something the GP has moved on from feels slightly risky.

 

The girls could either be so engrossed in the videos we've been waiting for that the new-ish goes over their heads (think the mooted response to part 2 of Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience while Mirrors was still smashing).

 

OR...they may be so into Act 2 which will presumably launch with visuals that we forget ever waiting to see Act 1 come to life. 

 

It's" Beyonce", so there's a degree of guaranteed interest, but I worry some aspect may be affected. 

 

It could all slay and leave us awestruck too. We'll see.

We’ve been doing this for a long time, and for Beyoncé to post a feature with its own artwork depicting the imaginary newspaper from the imaginary town she created in her visuals 1 day before the year anniversary of her album?  After recently trademarking 8 registrations for ECHOVILLE?  
 

It all just feels too on the nose.  I’m imagining she talked to Travis and let him know what she had planned July 29, as to not step on his toes.  This way, “Echoes” is now attached to the current #1 album, while also being the title track of her film.  
 

I could be wrong, but this time, I don’t think so.  The trailer or full film is definitely coming tomorrow.  It’s going down at MetLife.

Its called Delresto (Echoes) while it's clear Echoes is Beyonces part. What if she just gave these parts to Travis but has a different "Echoes" song on Act2?
