I’m not chronically online so I don’t mind the fact that it’s a Travis Scott feature. The issue is:

 

a) The song is very experimental. It’s good but def something that won’t get the GP stanning.

b) Is this really the ACT 2 sound? We want nothing even remotely hip hop. 

The way Delresto is set up, yeah, I think the song is going to be on Act II as well or a re-release of Act I with remixes.

This wouldn’t have visuals from renaissance on the cover if this was the start of the next era. This is definitely for renaissance. The lyrics even reference ballroom.

Speak for ya self. Beyonce will always be Beyonce, she hasn't done an album without Hip Hop influences ever... 

Listening to this, the first thoughts are dark & experimental though, not primarily Hip hop...

Why do you think the acts are disconnected? Acts are called such because they belong to the same grand body of work (act i, ii, iii)

I do feel the world is ready for more POWER BALLADS! We need another "Halo" or even a "Love On Top." Virgo's Groove is IMMACULATEEEEEEEEE and the greatest song of her career - but it is not a power ballad. Her last power ballad was "Bigger" and it was a wasted potential.

Artistic expression is ultimately where its at. She simply can't be the Beyonce we love without experimenting. Plenty of vocals on here, she's always delivering vocals, in amongst other forms of delivery like spoken word, rap singing, rapping...
