Im so curious to see the streams as the tour grows. 

I really hope she locks in some dates in Latin America, Australia, and Africa in 2024. Its been years.

it does not have any negative impact...and the fact that she is contesting it and not bowing to the irs for trying to defraud her makes her look good

That's what I thought... she's acknowledged it already since she's contesting it... really don't see any big deal is this story besides the Beyoncé Beyoncé Shakira Shakira jokes which are really good.

The tax story is sensationalized and stupid as usual. Media is desperate to know whats going with Bey they'll blow anything up. 

 

I just wish Beys people had a better handle on these types of stories. I can name several names and the facts are that these stories don't circulate cause they're considered more likeable and protected. Cause wtf is Bey doing for you to be worried about her taxes?

In Hindsight? We know Alien Superstar had the most organic interest and distinction/evolution compared to what Bey had released in the past. Probably that as lead if not a quick follow up to BMS which I also love as lead, aside from the fact it was a bit more of grower for my circle. At first it sounded lazy and monotonous (BMS). In the streaming age multiple pre-album singles and promo tracks is the best way to serve longevity, especially if the artist is going to do nothing promo wise. Otherwise i'd just love clear branding of  it as a Dance, something that i think would be easy for the GP to get behind and also want to check out.

 

Regardless of order:

 

BMS, Cozy, Alien, Cuff It, Virgo, Heated

 

promo singles (pre album or tied to a campaign): Cozy, SR, Pure/Honey

Right, so on its own merits it's not a bad single choice.

 

I agree AS/Heated would probably be better choices, tbh I always wanted alien to come in Feb and Heated June but I always imagined Virgo being something pushed more for adult contemporary like Love on The brain with huge potential but because I'm so here for the quality of the song, I'm not complaining about it as single (even if some of that quality is lost in this radio edit).

 

A few things I would give it over the other songs. Heated was super generic on first listen, and even a lot reaction videos I watched kind of gave it a pass initially. Even once it clicked and became an anthem when I heard it out in a club, it following in the footsteps of BMS/CI, it sounds like a random single belonging potentially to a completely different body of work. Im pretty big on singles being cohesive and Virgo sits perfects next BMS/Cuff It, AS does as well.

 

Alien Superstar doesn't have a feel good/summer/effortless quality to it that VG has. I also don't think it's appeal is as cross generational

does it really matter if there is an official single or not if there is no music video, promo...nothing really changed. as amazing as it is, VG wont be touched by anything other than potentially rnb radio. But similar fate would have been with other songs from rena - album has been out tfor way too long and without any promo all singles are destined to flop. So it really does not matter what is official.

If the rumours about Brazil in March/April are true, I wouldn't be surprised if another EU leg happens in May/June. I didn't think the tour would be going into next year.
