Why I get the feeling her team initially thought Renaissance wasn’t gonna be as big as it was, and they prob was gonna give us all 3 acts and do a big tour. But changed plans after REN commercial success with 0.5% promo. 

I think we will get another tour in like 2025.

thankfully I’ve only ever had one experience with a bad opening act, but I guess the one positive is that when she was done (I don’t even remember her name ) it made the headliner’s performance (Rina Sawayama) that much more impressive because of the contrast

 

and tbh if she didn’t have her own summer performance plans, I’d add Rina to my opener wishlist too because she oozes big stadium energy even in her lil theater-sized shows 

 

plus she modeled the best moment in her debut album after the bridge in I Care so you KNOW she’s a stan

Total conjecture on my part, but I could see her doing this stretch of the tour as is. Dropping Act 2 and then doing another leg comprised almost exclusively of places she's not going to this time. So, certain hot spots in Europe, Oceana, Asia, etc.

 

Effectively denying North America and the Euro spots of a secong leg while they see the slays in those international regions will help re-fill her demand in those areas for whenever she eventually does go back there. Much how those plans she isn't going to now are thirsty because fo the hype we made over tickets.

The main show starts at 8:00pm in full day light and everybody is in bed by 11? Kinda sad!

my show was rainy and in a stadium with a retractable roof so we would’ve been fine even with an early start, but the Haus Labs entrepreneuress had a late start anyway so it was mostly just me chatting with my mom until it started

This is what I’ve been thinking since the start of the era. I think the same thing happened with self titled like she didn’t plan an era then either because she thought it was gonna flop

I hope your right  But this almost makes too much sense from a strategic pov that it seems like that’s not gonna happen….

Yeah, no. Nobody makes something as polished as ST or Rena for it to be a 'flop' product. And in both situations she was already coming from an underperformance, she knew what she was serving. 

Maybe she's over the Renaissance era because she hates the gays. Can relate.
