Oh God no...... i don't even NEED her to perform, but girl can't you atleast sit in that audience with some swarovski pearls, a gown and a fake smile? If she doesn't attend. Adele is getting the big categories

Oh how I long for the days when articles like that Variety tease about her being "in talks" for this year's show were carefully placed PR stories ahead of a definite performance. 

 

With Bey these days, the tea about "talks" seems 50/50. It's either an Oscars situation where it was all spun as "talks" when sis had already shot the performance or it literally doesn't come to fruition like that Savage performance with Meg that never happened.

Jay Z is performing. She’ll be there. He wouldn’t perform if there were rumblings of her being snubbed or not attending.

I think the thing that makes this harder is that she so recently performed and seems more ready to re-emerge as a performer after Dubai but I’m realizing now that was presumptuous

Possibly. 

 

Or maybe the acts are calling their bluff before confirming. 

 

A Grammys with no major names/nominees attending could be a blow it may never recover from. So I can see them bending backwards, doing backdoor deals etc to ensure major players are in the room. 

 

I keep saying it, but more than an organization, the Grammys is a huge money-making show that is broadcast on network television. It literally NEEDS ratings, which by proxy means it needs huge stars.

 

TBH, I don't care if it's by way of voting or some executive commitee, they really need to do right by Bey this year.

I literally thought this too. They move as a pretty solid unit. 

 

A lot of us were so engrossed in her "return" to the show in 2021, but it was actually even more of a return for Jay after the 0-8 ish they pulled in 2018.

 

Him being on the broadcast as a performer (with even more industry clout than ever), I'd think bodes well for Bey both being there and possibly performing.
