Agreed, and the common thread is they all wrap up the narrative nicely.

 

Though SUMMER RENAISSANCE pushes past imo bc it has that amazing applause section which REALLY feels like a closing track. You can't quite tell sonically that the others are wrapping things up as much.

It was blocked by Christmas songs for over a month, it would have been top 10 for several weeks I think without them

The best & most refreshing part about BMS as the lead is that it got away from that trap sound of her last few singles...Formation, Sorry, Apeshit, Drunk In Love (which I grew to love), etc. 

 

It was nice to hear a fun song with some melody & a new direction sonically for her & as an album lead. Not to mention...an uplifting message for all people...race, gender, etc. All these ingredients made it the #1 hit it deserved to be.

I wonder what song would she even been for? A Britney cameo seems kinda random. I guess maybe Church Girl’s video would make the most sense to put her in there.

“Cuff It” didn’t take off on the charts until dance videos started going viral on TikTok and were being reposted on other social media platforms. While many didn’t know there was a Cuff It challenge, the viral videos still inspired people to fall in love with the song and/or make their own videos.
