I received my collectors vinyl just now and the included double poster shows the picture of her on the horse with the mic. The other one is a portrait shot of her, anyone else got these?

I’m surprised it wasn’t the lead, but maybe she thought it was too on trend.

right...it's NOT going to work on AS like she could easily remove on "Energy"

 

but i do think she is mindful about the music on the next 2 Acts & I won't be surprised if songs are being re-worked to eliminate the need for samples/interpolations. its best to do it now while no one else has had heard the songs. and if there's any songs where the samples are the most crucial...she may want to make those phone calls since some of these artists obviously want to say they won a phone call with Beyonce so bad.

One of the wilder things to me about this ordeal is that the clearance wasn’t requested until May 2022 and wasn’t granted until June 2022. I know a lot of artists are tinkering with albums till the last second but now I’m wondering how different this album looked even 5 months ago .

Sampling is so standard in the MODERN music industry that she probably thought they wouldn’t give a **** and be happy to be included on someone’s album. Since you know it’s their only hit song and everything. Their only legacy being continued to be referenced and all. And no she should not take the samples out of her future music either and if she’s gonna be giving people phone calls they need to sign NDAs so they don’t spoil what’s coming like you know they’re gonna want to

The longer it takes to release the visuals the more it feels like they are actually ‘act 2’.

I still have hope since "recorded" (taken from the Rennaissance booklet) to me means the recording sounds/music.

And shooting for me means filming visuals. I'm not a native speaker, maybe someone can explain better but thats just what gives me hope!

I have been saying since Break My Soul that a lot of this era feels last minute. Still getting clearances the same month as the album was announced is crazy.

Yeah I was also surprised that the sample was cleared so close to the album release. Maybe Alien Superstar is the exception rather than the rule though and it was just the last song she finalised.

 

But put it this way - if she delivered the best album of her career and it was a 'last minute' thing, then let's hope her next album is also made last minute.

Great now AS will never be a single now  she’s probably editing it out the visual rn

She could make a remix version to release as a single, without the "I'm too classy..." part. That would be the best way to give the middle finger to them. Make the song even better i.e. Savage Remix and have it be the more popular version, meaning less people stream the original and RSF get less coins.

the "im too classy" part is the BEST melody of the track....thats why people love it.

I still think Beyoncé doesn't need to sample so much in her work. She is not a rapper. She is also a master of melodies and has shown during her Destiny's child days that she can create good ones. The ''I'm too sexy from this world'' could have been changed to something like ''I'm from another world'' in the same melody and it she wouldn't have needed that sample because the only reason she needed to clear it was because of the saying ''Too sexy'' and in the tone she sang it, that's all made her need that sample. I understand her doing everything right to avoid lawsuits but she is opening doors to these thirsty hating clowns to come for her. The moment she uses their work, she gives them power to pretend they are superior than her because she needed to use their work. That's why Kelis came at her so arrogant. As an artist, she should just come extra hard with her own melodies and it would make her even more royalties the more original and successful they are, which she could make anything work with the way she lays her melodies. 

 

I just hope we wont have to deal with such annoying things with Act II.
