  • It was the best concert of my life, bar none. Idc!    It was extraordinary, it was ineffable.  I knew I loved it based on the videos but I... Hey I don't know.    Best moment

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

I've calmed down alot but alot of the points made still stand.

Beyonce has explicitly stated legacy, cultural impact and other big words that state she wants to stand the test of time. She did well in the 2010s and didn't care for charts. Well with the side projects and now full album release, I'm not seeing the passion to advocate for herself. It started when she lost AOTY tbh.

I am invested as a fan and her perception of being above the industry is not translating well for the long run  some of her peers been flopping for 20 years and they go harder for their art and legacy. The fact no one can explicitly say that this album is bad and haters are just as confused as the fans. Something is just off this era.

I agree with the first part but I don't think you should underestimate Rihanna's selling power. Especially seeing the hype from the GP around her comeback. There's a big chance Rih will outdo herself streaming, sales AND acclaim wise with R9.

Then it's good for her? It has nothing to do with B. REN will sell 1M by the end of the year & I bet she will dominate the GRAMMYs and her tour will sell like hot cakes. The Navy has always been nice with the Hives. It's the other fanbase that keep coming for B but their fav is a flop anyways.

It's like y'all having some sort of memory loss. B survived the Adele's Hurricane; currently outselling Drake and Billie. She's doing fine. 4 and Bday got outsold by GGGB & Loud but it's not like it was a complete flop. If Superbowl can make someone immune from flopping, Katy will not flop, Chromatica will sell 1M with ease, Shakira&JLo would slay the catalogue streams but they didn't.

Whats off with it is very very easy to explain: nobody gets to see her aside from her celeb friends once or twice.

Thats just inexcusable.

The thing is, this whole enigma thing would've been SOOOO great if she really did those pop up shows. Imagine all this silence and her suddenly performing in Milan. Then nothing for 2-3 weeks again and her performing in London. That would create so much buzz and would still give her all the privacy she wants.

But what can we do? It is what it is.

I cannot believe Yvette actually tweeted that she was going to show us what a roll-out was. Truly makes me wonder what is going on behind the scenes that explains the complete silence :sadviolin:

I've only seen her in Chicago, and it's always wild

This is usually the plan, but Chicago is so ghetto right now I aint risking getting shot or robbed on my way home from the show.

Whenever the tour drops I might wanna attend the Houston show just to see the energy of her in her hometown.

Beyoncé shoots visuals for every album. Stop with “she doesn’t care” narrative. Artists that don’t care go on hiatus and you don’t hear from them. Y’all make it seem like Beyoncé is is Sade or Anita Baker or someone that stays under a rock. She still puts out music very consistently, whether it’s a side album or a feature. Even her side album received an accompanying visual. She always goes on tour, and attends the Grammys. Stop saying she doesn’t care as a reason why this roll out sucks. She cares! Her team has just been mishandling eras, nothing more, nothing less. Releasing an album, with an accompanying visual, then going on a world tour is way more effort than most artists. Other than this album she’s put a lot of effort into the the accompanying material, it’s just hasn’t propelled the era. The better question is why does she put effort in things like BIK once the era is dead, rather than doing something at the time of release?

How do you put effort into a visual album, but not put effort into sending the singles to radio? Make it make sense.

This.

maybe those "pop up" shows have been happening this whole time, she's just making everybody sign NDAs before they find out what they're seeing

I was scrolling through her IG, and I’ve realized that she looks better than she did in her 30s and younger than her 20s. Sis needs to tell us her skin care routines, so we can stay beautiful and youthful forever like ha!

This. Anybody thinking that things are going to be exactly as it was with Rih, I’ll leave them in their happy place.
