Guess what...Beyonce is a 40+ popstar...the fact that she has seen the success with Renaissance that she has thus far is an anomaly itself. there's a reason why people don't compare her to her REAL industry peers. if she struggles this decade...guess what else...its the gradual decline that ALL pop stars (especially female) will face. many of the Hive need to face THAT reality...ya'll want platinum albums & #1 hits to continue when there's going to come a time sooner than later that the studio albums will start doing TG & EIL numbers. get comfortable with that....right now...ya'll are the only ones having anxiety over this stuff.

Thank you!  Reality will catch up with them sooner or later

ya'll need to listen to other artists & actually get into the mindset of a GP/casual fan. it has many benefits. #1. you won't be so upset & high strung over what's happening (or not) with Beyonce #2 you'll realize how silly most of these takes sound & aren't rooted in real life

casual fans aren't needy like yall b/c it's not even their nature to be tuned in this much for half these takes to be relevant. I bought tickets to see Kendrick Lamar & I didn't even like his recent album that much...i bought it off the strength of his reputation as a performer, his past catalogue, & the fact that we don't know how long his next hiatus will be. i bought tickets for Lizzo & i haven't played her album in months nor have i watched ANY of her performances this era despite liking the album.

the GP doesn't need all this grandstanding...that's not how real life is. her reputation, touring hiatus, #1 hit, acclaimed album, viral songs alone are going to push tickets without all the extras. all Beyonce needs to do is make sure people get the announcement about it.

Its not just the visuals that have people saying this.  Yall can act like ostriches w your heads in the sand, but Beys approach to her career over the last decade has been abysmal at a time when she shouldve been building a foundation for her 40s.  Those seeds will show.

It's my understanding that her 30s were about being more intentional with her messages. Feminism and BLM. I get not wanting to play the pop game then. I respected it. Her 30s were all about accolades and critical acclaim. But when she lost AOTY for a 3rd time, well...

Some of Hive are starting to think that Bey felt like she was done dirty with Lemoande. But she played that era wrong. Jay promoted his album just fine. He did interviews that had her looking like a doormat. She and Parkwood let the narrative run wild. So she needs to suck it up and promote this album.

Are we doubting her touring power now? :rip: Wow, some of you really need to find someone else to stan because you really don’t like Bey.

+ an extensive photo magazine that comes with the album and is available on her website.

to complain there has been "no visuals" is not true and just whiny, entitled bullshit. just because she's not releasing the full videos fast enough for yall doesn't mean you got nothing.

Stop showing me ads. There are no damn visuals except for a teaser. Since when did BTS video for a shoot become visuals for the album? Her L’Oréal commercials were B’Day promo?

this is such a baseless take. 2013 onwards is when Beyoncé went from superstar to legend status. how's that abysmal? :clown:

some of y'all want this lady to promote her album like it's her sophomore album... you're not getting the Future Nostalgia experience from a musician on her 7th studio album, 25th year in the spotlight... be for real.

Like...what? Rih never did good with pure sales numbers.

I do not know where is all this confidence coming from, just because she hasn't release anything? Just because she has great catalogue streams? Well hello Ed Sheeran, The Weekend, Drake and Eminem says Hi. People are so sure Rih  is going to sell what 400-500K in the next era, when she hasn't done anything passed 300K for the past 8 albums. She quit music and all of sudden people forgot her lackluster album sales. However, she's gonna smash the streaming stats though.

I think Ariana is a great example of having huge hits but lackluster album sales. And Billie is a great example that being cool doesn't really reflect huge mega sales. Kendrick is a great example that five year gap will not guarantee huge numbers (despite his acclaim) and last but not least Lana's/Ed's catalogue streams doesn't always translate to better album sales next era. Katy's Superbowl was a huge success; so does Madonna and Gaga. Do you see them opening with 617K and 653K like B? How bout The Weeknd and Justin Timberlake?

? Both Rih & Ariana have all their albums at least multiplatinum eligible besides their debuts :hoetenks:

Just noticed that FUNK/Trumpet/Horn sound is always on her albums no matter what. Very cohesive tidbit of her career :clap3:

This sound + empowerment theme are 2 staple elements throughout Beyonce's catalogue

Chris Martin is 45. Taylor and Ed are approaching their mid 30s. Bey is not old and handicapped. Her 50 year old husband promoted more than her with the same amount of kids and far less popularity.

We gotta stop with the excuses. There is no reason for Beyonce to treat her career the way she's been treating it for the past 8 years now. She has her moments but then she literally takes several steps back with some of her antics. It's really not funny.

Legends that have sold more than Bey still promote their ****. See Mariah and Madonna. I wanted to buy the Daydream box set cause it was cute and thoughtful. Think Bey is doing anything for her 20th anniversary for DIL? Tuh.

There is no excuse. We're not telling her to run her self into the ground like it's 2003. But don't do dumb mess like pull your song from radio and no clear follow up for a single or engagement with your work. This is unacceptable. It's about to be 4 months and her fans are in the dark. Having 5 year old twins, a husband and a birthday 3 weeks ago is not an good enough excuse for the sloppiness.

y'all need to be thankful she's not pulling a Fiona Apple, the way y'all talk about her. delete her social media & release an album every 8 years, get a 98 on metacritic, grab a couple golden gramophones, then go back to enjoying her life in peace. :gaycat5:

and if you don't like her, don't stan her.

Do we? Or do we just want her to add the song to radio and release a video for each single. It’s not that hard. I’m sure the tour will do fine though.

I've said it for years, BEYONCE' has always wanted to be a Mary J/Aretha (cultural QUEEN).  I feel her father always wanted her to be this global popstar and she never wanted it. She always wanted to be a hood girl singing and rapping. Literally read the room. Every feature is RAP. Every single has a RAP in it. She markets her career like a US based HipHop act. Why do you think she literally ONLY focused on Us/Europe for so long? It all makes sense with Church Girl being pushed like crazy release week when her actual POP SONGS were PRAISED by the label :lmao:She doesn't like that pop star ****. CLEARLY. Technically, she's released more rap style singles than pure vocals since 2010 anyways. I feel she hit her perfect mark on this album which is why it's my personal fave. She's never gonna be a typical pop/r&b singer again and y'all jus have to understand that. Her next album might be NO ID style HipHop and I just know the meltdowns are coming.

Beyonce's reason is that she doesn't care about that **** anymore...period. You can't force a mindset to change overnight. you mentioning her husband & what he does for a male-identified hot take like their supposed to be siamese twins sharing the same brain is not the argument you think it is.

married people don't have to agree on everything in life and how Beyonce & Jay Z view the music industry, their individual careers, and what the future of those careers look like for themselves is their own separate ideology. they don't have to align on anything except their marriage and how they raise their children. not whether one wants more streaming numbers and the other is fine where they are. lets get serious with these takes pls.

For the people that’s bugging, log off of this site, go outside and live your lives. I promise y’all want think about this crap as much. There’s no point in stressing out about her career and choices. It won’t have an effect on any of you.

you were spitting here :cm: straight facts. I went to Chromatica Ball because I haven't seen Gaga before and she might not tour for another 5 years. seeing Lizzo as well and haven't played her new album that much. people go to concerts to have fun, not complain about artists' promotion strategies and single choices :dies: and a Beyoncé show is guaranteed to be entertaining at this point, she's proven herself many times over.

once an artist is liberated from the idea to produce commercially...you simply can't **** with that type of peace. the stance that whether I go #1 or it's a 97-out situation...I'M NOT MOVING under any circumstance. so many celebs have embarrassed themselves & lost it and sunk into depression when their time was up. Beyonce knows the inevitable and she's not trying to fight it. some can view it as pretentious but an argument could be made that its the true embodiment of being content and unbothered.

to be fair, social media isn't helping her sell Ivy Park much either :deadbanana4: I'm the only person I know that owns anything Ivy Park.

I rather have her do that than half ass it. I'm not a fan of the one foot in and out approach. Especially when that foot only goes in when it's time to push something for her monetary gain. She sold $8 million worth of those boxes. Dropped IVP and alot of random merchandise. Then we got Tiffany's coming. But what all has she given? A teaser almost 2 months ago and under 6 instagram posts. A party for Hollywood while tik tok and the GP aren't sure what to do.

You shouldn't promote yourself as this as this pop star but pick and choose when to go indie. Are we a mainstream legend or not?

What all has she given? A career defining album at 40 years old after already releasing two of the most highly regarded works of the 21st century. She doesn't owe anything beyond the music.

I promise the GP isn't waiting for instructions on what to do :deadbanana2: They're listening to the album in their daily lives and not thinking beyond that.

She's good.

Stick to stating the fact that she doesn't give a ****. Don't handicap her and use Jay as a man to explain how he moves. Bey can do everything Jay does and more. He's been admitted she was bigger than him. He would have never been able to tour to those record breaking numbers without Bey.

If she wants to be a mom and wife unbothered in Bel Air, then don't push yourself in the media with an expensive Tiffany's campaign, merch, IVP and $8 million worth of album boxes. Don't open your album talking about "I'm that girl". Cause what indie artist is able to do all that? What indie artist is expected to tour stadiums. She needs to accept the fact that she can't pick and choose when she's in the game and isn't. Cause it's losing people and I've been watching it for years.

you are way off...YOU are the only person trying to tie-in what Jay Z was doing in comparison to his wife. I already know Beyonce can do the same as him and catch this...I also know she DOESN'T have to do the same thing as him. meaning he can do sit-down interviews, go on Twitter spaces every week, release his albums to streaming, be papped and she can say NO to all of that. so mentioning what Jay Z does as a way to hint that Beyonce "needs" to be doing the same thing off the basis of her husband doing it is once again NOT the argument you think it is.

and to your 2nd point....Beyonce actually can & IS doing all of that easily. she's showing it to you right now. ya'll didn't hear her when she said in that interview in 2013:

"The Super Bowl’s one thing, but after that, I’ll be very selective. What I love is performing and making the album. I don’t really have to do anything that I don’t want to do anymore. And that feels damn good.”
