I know that Bey is a billionaire but I love how other huge artists like Taylor have been able to maintain being private while still able to give fans what they want and be hungry for album success.

Taylor Swift is not a mother of three. Once she has children, i doubt she will be that hungry anymore. People need to stop acting like Beyoncé is at the same stage than those girls. Like Taylor was a young girl when Bey was around with DC c'mon now.

Girl, Taylor was just one example. She’s also 32 at this point and no where near slowing down. There are other moms in the industry who promote. The great thing about social media is Beyoncé doesn’t have to leave her kids to push a button, push a second single. It’s all bare minimum stuff we are asking for.

I mean… there’s Celine Dion and Mariah with twins as well who promote. Even Mariah was able to get a damn TV special out in time for Christmas and we know how damn lazy she is. Celine still does appearances and cute little posts and videos here and there.

and what would that do for the album? let's stop acting like marketing experts. There is no magic formula. Beyoncé released the music, let the people sit with it and she is taking time before making her next move. After 25 years she can do that. It's not something she would advise those young girls still hungry for success to do but she doesn't have to do all of that. People know Beyoncé has an album out. If they are not interested in listening to the album, endless promotion wont change their minds.

 

Taylor Swift has her own fanbase and her own lane. 

 

If Beyoncé was interested in doing things like that, she would just do it lol.  Clearly she is not interested.

Taylor is about eclipse and show everyone what a rollout is.  It’s sad to say that Renny is very uneventful when it shouldn’t be. It’s her best album and it’s once again being shelved to dust by her. I expected it after seeing they were using Instagram bios and blacked out social media to push the new era. Um yeah. 

I can imagine once the visuals are released there will be short & limited merch sales again on her website. Unfortunately those shipping costs are horrendously high, i ended up paying a little over 100 euros for one of the Pose Boxes.

I think these days artists not only make most of their money through touring but also through merch. I wonder if they produce a limited number of pieces or if they just let pre-orders get in, then stop the sale after 24 hours and produce the exact amount of pre-orders. If it's the latter method i think it is more eco-friendly since they won't sit on thousands of unsold items.

She’s delivered what most of you have called some of her best and most evolved music of her career and has more content coming.  She’s filmed probably some of the most cinematic visual content and is likely still preparing for the best concert of all time, that has yet to be announced. And who knows what else she’s working on, but some of us are calling her lazy and questioning her passion and work ethic because she doesnt post an itinerary online or tweet her plans?

Im sorry, I WISH we had sth to talk about. Really. I would love to engage in talks about a new visual, her second single taking off, viral moments, a due date that is coming closer, dissecting a new Interview, a performance, etc..

I would love to share my thoughts on all of these things, but its unfortunately not reality.

And theres only so many ranking I can do per week or quoting memorable lyrics from songs on Renaissance.

Girl who cares? She dropped the album for us to enjoy. I'm enjoying life while constantly vibing to Renaissance. 

 

Also she's kinda moved on from being the face of pop culture while she's still relevant and far from a legacy act. She's already on her way of becoming a legend so she don't need no gimmicks for some commercial success.

Well then dont hope for any content whatsoever, any accolades, any success. Just don't give a **** at all.

Dont engage in streaming parties, dont mass buy stuff as a fangroup, because she doesnt care about all of that. Dont buy merch cause what for. A tshirt? 80€ for something i can have for free aka music? Nope.

 

Honestly, all her losses at the Grammies are well-deserved. Shes stuck up and entitled and feels too big to do the bare minimum, while others truly crave those awards. Play dumb and get played.

Someone like Harry or Silk Sonic deserve their AOTY over Bey next season. They at least push for their success.

Part of me understand your whining while part of me think you're doing the most  

 

Not gonna lie, I thought this era was going to be different but I was wrong  This era feels like the Gift 2.0. No videos, performances or anything to keep interest in the album. It is what it is though, I'm gonna support her regardless

She's already there. Her name is cemented along with the greats at this point. The only reason she doesn't fit in with them is because all of those people are from the same era.

I feel like she's pretty close to Madonna's status in the GP's eyes. Artists are rarely given their flowers until they die. MJ/Whitney/Amy Winehouse etc. were ridiculed daily when they were still breathing and then everyone switched up. Death and the sensitivity surrounding it really changes the perceptions of musicians. I feel that way about Aaliyah (bless her) when they overrate her to the heavens + have some convoluted opinions about how she was bigger/better than Bey as if DC wasn't stomping her on the charts. 

 

 

 

The only time I've ever been upset with Bey was with the Lemonade rollout. She announced the tour before the album and I thought she was gonna start the tour with old songs and change the setlist once the album was released. After she released the album it ended up being my favorite era because she was everywhere during that time. We got the Superbowl, BET Awards, CMAs, VMAs, Grammys, Tidal X and she was on tour. We literally got a live performance for every song on the album which is something I've never seen done before. 

Still maintain that the rollout if better than Lemonade. It was done in 6 months.
