The thing with The Gift is that it's too over the place as a project to talk about it among B's best albums imo.

 

The stuff that is there from her is very good, but then there's like half of the album on which she doesn't appear at all and even on some of the one she sings on it feels like she's a feature  idk it's a thing of its own and separate from the rest of her work

 

I loved a lot of the music but since her voice is not on it I didn't care much for it after initial listens. JA Ara E would've slayed so much as a Beyoncé song, and so would Water as a solo.

 

FYWB was the best track on the record but it's so short, it needed another minute. 
 

M4E however was the worst among the Beyoncé tracks 

Also can somebody fill me up again on why is precisely FYWB the only B song on the Gift whose video is not uploaded to her YT channel?

B’Day is definitely my least fave Bey album and the one I’ve listened to the least over the years. It’s also got my worst Bey song of all time on it (Get Me Bodied).

Move and Heated are the only two I could see on The Gift. 

If The Gift was labelled as a studio album, had an album cover with Bey on it, and didn't have all those 3 second interludes, everyone would suddenly love it.

The Gift has career highlight material...I can't see FYWB leaving my Top 3 discog ranking. the only downside is that I don't listen to the songs from the other artists
