I feel so bad for the parents stuck at home having to hear their teenage daughters blast this on repeat from every device in the house

What's gross about people streaming a song they like? :rip:

That they like such ****ty, generic, bland and basic music.

I won't disagree with that statement, but that's on them.

The only thing better than BTS breaking all the records (that flop MPGs that atrl stans can't even come close to) is the tears of the haters in here. :ihype:

Yes, I stan for the 11 times Grammy award winner and Academy award winner Lady Gaga.

So where was the same energy when she put out an album as bad, dated and generic as cromatica?

Literal pop music stans from the  early 2010s thinking they have any standing to call any music generic or basic... it's the lack of self awareness for me

But Billboard didn’t count those VPN streaming.

and their last (first week) streaming numbers in US are decent.

Y’all still use this VPN excuse?

The fact these numbers are from their fans 'cause the GP don't care about them. It's really amazing, but I can't understand it :deadbanana4:

It just means that having a robust fandom will make you very succesful

This doesn’t sound believable at all tbh...

It’s not that unbelievable. They’re the biggest they have been and they have a fanbase who will each play the song 50 times. They are finally getting a big playlist and radio push as-well. 100m views on YouTube to add to all of that

Yeah but plenty of songs get a big playlist push and their fans always stream their songs like crazy. It’s not like the GP was anticipating this release. It just seems... weird

Are their fans really steaming it that much more because it’s in English?

It's all they needed :clap3::jonny5:

i was kind of getting at the fact they don’t have the traditional means that most western acts benefit from when they break these records - airplay, wide playlisting and much greater appeal to casual listeners.

imagine if one day an act grew a similar fan base and still had the gp interest as well in addition. the first day numbers could be so much higher than anyone thought possible.

but also the gp literally don’t know them. :sorry:

that's Taylor Swift.

a full rollout and promo of this level for a mainstream TS era would pull the same if not bigger numbers

ME! was trash, she deserved to flop for that though
