ngl the three divas alone is kind of perfect for ATRL, but that's such a short rate. :skull:

I don’t think we should be afraid of that. If there’s at least 20 songs, I would say it’s enough to stand on its own as a rate. And maybe if it’s short, some hesitant voters will actually participate. Get it, get out, get ahead.

Bad Girls (15 songs) + The Boss (8) + Take Me Home (9)

That's 32 songs + 8 more if you wanted to throw in Prisoner too

Either way, I'd say that's enough :matty:

But when are we going to rate whichever Barbra album has her cover of Life on Mars on it? The people need to know it exists. Truly one of the most "I'm so random" moves of any pop woman's career. :deadbanana2:

In the Ultimate Butterfly Rate of course

Butterfly (Barbra) vs. Butterfly (Mariah) vs. To Pimp a Butterfly

This is Love is Like a Butterfly erasure! It's one of Dolly's best albums!

Oh this enduring classic...

Can everyone else say the same?

Some of the replies to this + the original tweet kind of making me feel insane

What do you mean Homogenic is "obscure"?

You have to remember that Bjork is 'khia' to these people and a lot of them weren't even born when these albums came out :suburban:

Even so :suburban:

Some of us were bopping to Honey I'm Home in preschool and also consider Bjork a khia. Fun cameo in The Northman though! :fan:

Personally, I prefer The Woman in Me and Up! (Green Version! Always Green!) over Come On Over but it's still a great landmark album. Better written, infused with more personality, its genre blending more musically interesting than your typical pop behemoth blockbuster.

So, I've been dipping in and out - reading all the tea leaves.

1979: The Year Disco "Died"

The Boss v. Bad Girls v. We Are Family v. Risqué  v. Spirits Having Flown.

Five of those albums are less than forty minutes long! To keep it brief, I wouldn't be opposed to Donna being removed and subbed out for Cher (save Donna for another heavy hitter rate?)

But those five make SENSE. And with Donna and Chic, you have two albums in the most recent RS Top 500 of All Time list! @Graves @conatus what say you?

(Also, choosing between The Boss and Thinking About You for my highest scoring track... actually painful to think about!)

I don't think anyone's taking part in a rate with the Bee Gees in it

We've got to remember the audience we're working with here, I still think it's probably best to stick to artists with like... actual fans on here

Despite Subby's protests, Off the Wall and/or Take Me Home being included would make more sense than Chic AND Sister Sledge AND The Bee Gees (to me, at least...)

Does MJ have fans here? Other than that one??

That's still one more than the Heebie-Bee-Gees :suburban:

Bad Girls

The Boss

Off the Wall

Risqué

Take Me Home
