Was everyone this outraged when Ellie Goulding's Close To Me peaked at #2 on Pop radio and #1 on HAC even tho it was doing horrible on Streaming?  :celestial5:

Would love to see your reaction but I'm too lazy to dig that deep into this thread....

Actually, yes there was. It wasn't as heated because there weren't any Ellie stans trying to argue that its radio support was justified/not to be questioned, but it was definitely a topic of discussion almost daily when it was doing well on radio with even worse stats (I believe) than My Oh My.

The thing is sis, you can be happy your fave is doing well on radio without masking the reality that it's doing better than its other metrics warrant it to do. For example, as much as I love Stupid Love, it clearly didn't deserve to do as well as it did on pop radio, and it rightfully (yet unfortunately :'() got the chop when the bad callouts came in. I can be glad it did so well on radio while still acknowledging that it didn't really deserve to based on other metrics. What your fellow Camila stans are doing, on the other hand, is trying to come up with excuse after excuse to justify why it continues to get large radio updates despite the fact that it's very low on other metrics right now without ever being THAT high on them in the first place (yes it was #10 on US Spotify for one day January, but even then, it was only #25 for the whole week) and that its callouts, while at one point good, have gotten increasingly worse week by week for several weeks now. Just some food for thought.

Gaga is my main fave but you cannot compare SL to My Oh My :deadbanana:

My Oh My was doing great on Streaming back in January when it went viral on TikTok, and according to HDD it has over 250m US streams. Radio picking it up much later is not Camila's fault :coffee2:

Gaga is my only actual fave so I think my claim was objective. My point is that it's not right for Camila stans to get upset at people legitimately questioning My Oh My's strong pop radio support, especially in this thread where most people are focused more on the actual charts and not the shade they can be used for. Besides, even when it was doing better earlier this year, it wasn't exactly strong enough to warrant #1 on pop radio, so people aren't out of line to question how it continues to get strong updates despite that and its worsening callouts.

In other news, wth with The Bones update. It gained around 0.6M from Country radio. Is label trying to push it hard to get that Top 10 peak?

gurl this is not "legitimately questioning" :toofunny2:  she's easily the most hated person on ATRL.

Jesus :rip:

The Bones was released in May 2019 and the music video debuted in August 2019. It is:

- #2 on Billboard Country Streaming Songs (gaining in performance in its 41st week charting there)

- outselling My Oh My (feat. Da Baby)

- outstreaming My Oh My (feat. Da Baby)

- #19 on pop radio

Ger-55 was talking about the surprisingly big update on country radio where it already is #1. It also is #1 on country callouts with a Potential of 98 (Pop Score 97). Just STOP :deadbanana2:

Not everything is an attack, but serious questioning. :clap3:

Just accept the fact that this song's "success" is a huge scam if not Camila's whole pop radio career.

My Oh My

- #14 out of 17 songs on pop callouts for net positive

- most negative reaction on pop callouts

- #67 Rolling Stone chart (projected)

- HDD Streaming: N/A (for 7 of the last 8 weeks)

- 10 of Camila's last 11 efforts flopped with Romance lead single Liar receiving the worst callout scores and flopping on every other metric as well.

Sure there might be a hint of shade, but this thread isn't used (by most patrons) like threads by Scotland and co in the Base section, most people that frequent this thread are first are foremost interested in charts, not shading artists.

I love it ....

haters: Camila will never get a hit outside 5h ...nobody wants to listen to her on a track without the other girls

bad things comes out and out peaks all of 5h

hater: it was a fluke she will never get another hit when she goes solo.

Havana: happens and we all know how huge that was

haters: Its only because of a feature and young thug she can never get a solo hit.

Never be the same happens: #1 on  pop radio and  #1 on HAC...#8 on rhythmic. One of her biggest radio hits

Haters: doesn’t matter she won’t get another hit again

senorita comes out and explodes and becomes a HUGE  hit

Haters: she is done ..she’s over she won’t get another hit

My oh my  becomes a hit

I see the pattern with u haters/n fans. I get it Camila has accumulated more hits than a lot of pop stars in their careers in a short amount of time. You guys continue to try to discredit her but she keeps her head down and keeps winning. I know it’s frustrating ??‍♀️

So radio doesn’t even recalibrate audience due to quarantine? It just makes the charts look really fraudulent...

Can you guys just shut up with the Camila shade / arguments? Just let her buy that #1 like everyone else and she'll crumble down the Top 10 as per usual.
