No. There's a reason Gaga has lasted as long as she has and it's because of her talent. Xtina wasn't going to be a vulnerable actress, she wants to look gorgeous all the time (and does) she didn't seem interested in being an artist in the way that Gaga is. She's a pop star with good vocals, that's it.

Although most of us probably dgaf about the MCU and I don't think its in its prime anymore, at this point every actor has been apart of the MCU in someway but still go onto do amazing things. It's not like its acting career suicide. Ryan Gosling is joining, Tom Holland and Zendaya are there and her co-star Adam Driver so her joining could be very cute.

I feel the person who revealed the MCU thing revealed something else gaga related and I can't remember if it ended up being true or not. Or maybe they were lashing her during award season not sure. But I'm sure Gaga was high on the choice for Dazzler since the comic book creator mentioned he wanted Gaga to play the role before he died. If it did get announced I could see that being the topic of discussion that he handpicked her

I agree with you. I meant it more like if it means we get something from her then great but its not something I'd be overly enthused about as a non MCU watcher.

There were interesting subjects to explore with Joanne but ultimately presenting the album as a more authentic side of herself while still being guarded held back its potential. I also wouldn't want to be a pop star at Gaga's level of fame and divulge family trauma to the world so I get it, she kind of did it to the best of her ability without giving a way too much of herself. This is one of the times where I think her level of success was detrimental to the art. But I still find it to be an interesting piece of her puzzle. Its just if she wasn't a mainstream pop artist maybe there could have been a version of Joanne that explored her daddy issues and her heartbreak on a deeper level. I mean she tired to sell Perfect Illusion as a commentary on social media and avoided the fact that it was about Taylor Kinney. Also the whole concept of it being about her dead aunt who she never met, I think the more interesting angle was her trying to heal her dad and how his trauma affected her family but you don't really get that, its pretty surface level.

I still feel Miley's music is missing some seasoning, but the base is there. Katy on the other hand.. That's a plate of diarrhoea.

Taylor's music videos are so lifeless, but sure. Her music videos are her visualizing the lyrics or she just comes up with a random nonsensical pop visual that you would see in a Katy Perry music video. Lavender Haze, of course the music video is purple and its hazy. Bejewelled, jewels everywhere. I'm guessing the Karma music video has.. cats? "I hear you calling on the mega phone" ooop there's a mega phone "you light the match" now the match! "Shade never made anybody less gay" PRIDE THEME? I'm The Man, time to dress as a man. I prefaced the topic by saying I don't believe anyone should be getting lashed. I love Miley and think its a valid and somewhat tame subject for a place like atrl.

Now come on this sounds like bias. Gaga has never flopped like the girls mentioned. She's had a top 5 single from every studio album minus her Jazz cover records, even her soundtrack album bagged hits. Hell majority of Gaga's fanbase is the gays and even Joanne a country/Americana record sold 200k first week. Comparably Younger Now did 45K first week, it's not even close to the same thing.

Midnight Sky, Prisoner, Flowers, River, End of the World, Bass Persuades feel very much in the same realm of music the other pop girls make. Maybe it just isn't as good or as authentic I don't know, but it's not like she's making some non-commercial, experimental music. She's making pop music.

There isn't even enough reviews on Metacritic to get a score for her latest album, that right there tells you the level of lashings don't compare to what most pop girls have gone through.

I don't think anyone should get lashed so I'm not saying its a bad thing but I've noticed Miley doesn't get it as hard as the other girls. Do people just not care as much or do people like Miley as a person, but don't care for her musically so therefor they feel less inclined to lash her, what is it? She is pulling less numbers than Hilary Duff, her numbers are on par with Katy and she's been doing less than Xtina with Bionic AND Lotus (different times so maybe an unfair comparison) and yet I don't hear the same discourse surrounding the state of Miley's musical career.

That's actually crazy to think Hilary can move more first week sales than Miley, Demi and Katy. I don't even know what that means, is Hilary Duff really more musically relevant them That's not a diss to Hilary, it's just she releases an album every 10 years, I guess that possibly could help her whereas Miley just releases whatever.
