so you hated it too, huh. wild how for the last 10 years it's always about anything BUT the music with gaga fans - the acclaim, the awards, the oscars, the sales. never just... is the album good.

dragging an artist for a dip into her 42 year run (most of which was a slay, and had actual cultural impact to the point that it birthed certain copycat singers), while your fave was already underperforming by year 5, isn't the flex you think it is. who cares if mayhem sold more if the music is genuinely terrible

yeah right it was a huge success for her - that's why the campaign abruptly ended after multiple attempts to launch a proper second single, she immediately pivoted to making anything else but her signature dance pop for the next 7 years, stopped mentioning the album immediately after the era ended, and had to distance herself from her Artpop persona by making a sloppy country-flavoured record! album of the millennium right right
