P!nk breaks silence: condemns Hamas, supports Palestinians, drags Macklemore
The tackiest part is that she thinks she's having a rebellious moment like she did 20 years or so ago. No Pink, you are not being rebellious by voicing the same opinion as most corrupt US politicians and news outlets. You have been a part of the system 2009 onwards but now you have been crowned as the biggest shill in the music industry.

Macklemore dropped from Ed Sheeran tour post-Free Palestine speech
I think that what Macklemore did is on par with Sinéad O'Connor tearing up the pope's photograph on SNL or the Dixie Chicks opposing the Iraq invasion right before it started. I also don't forget how he preached about equality for the LGBTQ+ community at the height of his popularity, with all of the potential backlash he could have faced considering his style of music. He is a man of principle and empathy.

9/11: 25 Years Later [Serious Topic]
I live in south america so I didn't feel any sense of impending doom but of course I was still a kid. I remember my sister waking me up because the first plane had hit the north tower. She was also a kid so she called it the "Empire State Building" instead of the Twin Towers. I also remember the 2nd plane hitting and then when they collapsed. I was still on my summer vacation so when I went back to school like a week later, the 9-11 attack was the first thing that the other kids started to talk about. It's like everyone had been waiting for school to start to mention it. Something else I remember is that I watched a lot of cable TV back then and so many channels were showing the live footage, not just the news channels. Even MTV was talking about it.

Update | Black man, lone holdout juror who caused Lindsay Clancy mistrial is doxxed
It's not about being insane or not. You can be insane and still be aware that what you're doing is wrong. Someone might have a mental illness and think "I know murder is wrong but I am going to do it anyways". That's not the same as thinking "those people are demons and are trying to kill me so I'm going to kill them first". It's the job of the experts to prove either way and the jurors decide what is more likely. Just wanted to clarify that. That doesn't mean much. People can be in a psychotic state and still appear normal to the rest of us. Imagine you believe the CIA is trying to kidnap you to implant a chip in your body, you might still try to act normal to the rest of society as to not raise any suspicion that you've uncovered their plan.

Thanks to ATRL for putting it at the top of news. I'm still too shocked to comment.

P!nk breaks silence: condemns Hamas, supports Palestinians, drags Macklemore
Honestly, we were kinda forgetting about it and moving on to the next thing. This is worse than the original instagram story. She should shut up about it.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: copycat mom kills baby in solidary with Lindsay
Listen guys, a trial is a long process where experts give their opinion, evidence is shown and witnesses give testimony. The jurors are forced to sit and listen to this for weeks/months so I can assure you they know more details about the case than all of us combined. If 11 out of 12 jurors decided the prosecution wasn't able to prove without reasonable doubt that she is guilty, then that should tell you something. Of course, no one owns the truth, and the fact that the prosecution failed to prove her guilt doesn't mean she is not guilty. But it's not like someone can go on a killing spree and then declare themselves innocent because they have a mental issue. The experts take into consideration the behavior before, during and after the murder to conclude if it's reasonable to think she didn't do it with malice. A person can have a mental disorder and still be found guilty. For example, thinking "I know that killing is wrong and illegal, but I wanna do it anyways" is not the same as believing that "those people are demons and are trying to drag me to hell, so I have to strike first if I want to live and save my soul". In both cases you have a mental illness but they don't carry the same degree of responsibility.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: copycat mom kills baby in solidary with Lindsay
They know it gives them attention: "look, the convicted person is not actually guilty despite being caught red handed, let me explain to you why I think someone else did it". They target especially low IQ and uninformed individuals, conspiracy theorists, etc.

Desperation - Trump promises $5k stimulus checks if Republicans win the midterms
Aside from the legal aspect... He offers this because he knows they will lose so he won't have to explain why he didn't pay or where the money would come from. I think he's trying to fool selfish and low IQ individuals so that the democratic sweep isn't too embarrassing. Either that or he's preparing to rig the election.

Lady Gaga
Those awful Devil Wears Prada songs totally ruin the mood when you listen to her randomly on Spotify. Up until that point you are basically listening to the best discog of all time but then those songs come on and burn everything to the ground. Seriously, that could make the normies stop listening to her. If her team is reading this you are tarnishing her legacy by letting Spotify do that. If we collectively forgot about Joker we can forget about this mess too.

Laura Loomer launches racist, anti-black tirade on Democratic nominee for FL Senate
I wouldn't be so sure. I don't live in the US but I am latino and sometimes we act like one community. From what I see and hear I think most latinos will vote for demoratic nominees in November just to see the MAGA's lose. Mexicans never really liked him, they only voted for him because latinos are misogynistic. We Venezuelans already ditched his ass after the mess he's been doing in our country. He might still have the Cubans on his side but we will try to change their minds, although they are so deeply ideologized that it will be a tough bone to chew.

Israel-Palestine Conflict 2023/2024 Mega Thread
Yeah, I can believe that now. Back then, Israel seemed like a first world country to me and thought they weren't capable of something like that and the other side seemed barbaric and backwards. There was a lot of propaganda that I fell for that painted them as the good guys. Now, looking back, it seems so obvious that the Israeli army were the bad guys after all but back then, if you had not done your proper research, it was relatively easy to fall for that trap.

Israel-Palestine Conflict 2023/2024 Mega Thread
I wanted to say that I feel ashamed that when the war first started (October 7 of 2024) I was sympathetic towards Israel, especially cause I dislike Hamas (still do). I was banned from this thread so I never got to say anything when I changed my mind months later. I feel bad that I supported Israel and they turned out to be genocidal maniacs (especially their government). Doesn't change much but I wanted to say it because most people opt out quietly and don't admit their mistake.

U.S. officially starts war with Venezuela; Maduro captured
I'm as anti-Maduro as they come, but not only is the U.S. blatantly stealing this oil, the Venezuelan regime itself is illegitimate. Therefore, any such transaction is fundamentally tainted and unlikely to stand the test of time—especially once the U.S. has a president who doesn't conduct foreign policy like a bully. Maduro stole the election. The opposition demonstrated this by publishing roughly 60% of the electoral tally sheets, leading much of the region to reject the official result. Even Colombia's Petro and Brazil's Lula, historically far more sympathetic toward the Venezuelan government, refused to recognize Maduro's claimed victory and called for a new election. Maduro had appointed Delcy Rodríguez as vice president, and after his capture by U.S. forces on January 3, she became interim president. However, Venezuela's Constitution requires an election within six months in the event of the president's absolute absence. We're approaching September, and there's no election in sight. So Rodríguez inherited an already illegitimate government and has further undermined her own legitimacy by failing to call the constitutionally required election. The whole thing is one big, cynical and corrupt dance between two presidents with no regard for the rule of law. I want Americans to understand that even when Trump proudly claims that he has secured an extra 100 billion barrels of oil for the U.S., it's just another scam that won't stand the test of time.

Trump fires Election Assistance Commission leaders
I bet Trump/Vance/Rubio will rule the US for many years, uninterrupted. The elections will be rigged from now on.
