Chartmasters formula for calculating total audio streams is getting totally inaccurate for artists like Drake who smash on US Apple Music.

 

His current formula is 1 Spotify stream = 1.57 total audio streams. Thus 100 Spotify streams = 157 comprehensive audio streams.

 

 

Using his formula 321m US spotify streams first week X 1.57 = only 503,970,000 total US audio streams first week.

In reality, Scorpion got a 722 million US streams first week from Apple Music/Spotify alone, and 745.92 million streams total in US first week.

 

His formula would've underestimated his streams by 243 million first week in US.

 

Globally, it would've put Scorpion at 899.61 million streams first week. Yet it got over 1 billion streams globally first week.

That's so true...which means that lots of other artists are getting an unfair share of AM streams.

 

I wish AM would be more transparent with their streams.
