I love this song. It totally deserves all the success.

It might be the first real hit in a long time and the only song I can see being considered a staple in the future.

From the production to the lyrics it's a home run in all aspects. Every line is memorable and easy to sing. Tells a universal story that is heartwrenching. The heartbreak in the learned helplessness...

I don't think a song released this year is considered a classic yet. It's not a bad song, though.

A song doesn't have to be a hit worldwide to be considered a classic. There's nothing with a song being a classic locally. WW popularity is not necessary.
