I feel like her next album is going to be extremely boring and appeal to 21-25 year old girls who like reels on Instagram about wellness and cooking only using egg whites or whatever. The A&R quality she had during FN and even during the beginning of Radical Optimism is long time gone. She feels like more of an influencer rather than a singer.

This reminded me of when she said Massive Attack, Primal Scream and the UK rave culture were serving as major foundational references for her album and then proceeded to release whatever the **** Radical Optimism was. That HAD to be a different album that was scrapped (unless she's simply clueless) so I would like to hear that tbh.

Kevin said he wrote it for a pop girl. It was written around 2023 . It's not like he works with a lot of people. I don't think it was the same song tho, it was probably unfinished when they did it for Dua

It is speculated but honestly Kevin probably only did the songwriting of this song for Dua but for some reason it was scrapped, maybe they didn't like it or they have already some songs that passed the cutoff for RO.

There isn't really many info about RO unreleased & scrapped songs, only 3 (Burn This, Synesthesia & Fantasy Girl), the album is a whole mysterious considering she said it was 50% made in March 2022 but the first song written for the album was Illusion then in JULY 2022... what happened to all that material from 2021?

Houdini, Training Season, Happy For You, hell all of the songs on the album are at least neo-psychedelia adjacent. They are just subtle and not as fully embraced like say this

Oh then it was definitely Dua. But it probably sounded much worse considering she & her team have a solid ear for hits so I doubt they would've refused such a bonafide hit.

I always felt like they changed the direction for the album while producing it so it's no surprise.

Houdini, the bridge of Illusion and the outro of Happy For You. Love her but she barely served psychodelic in RO.

there were so many unreleased GEMS from the Future Nostalgia era leaks I need to hear some of these Radical Optimisms!! Especially the more psychedelic songs, I bet they are SMASHES.
