I just know she's FUMING at the song becoming one of her most-streamed ever. Hopefully Touch It goes viral next, I need her to seethe even harder

I'll never understand why gay are obsessed with this song. It's not even the best from that album.

ISLAYiana 6:9: "For unto us a classic is born, unto us a bop is given... and her name shall be called... The Mighty Into You, The Everlasting Mother...".

There's nothing basic about Into You. This song is packed with carefully crafted and super satisfying melodies (the final chorus introduces a new spin-off melody just for good measure) and layers upon layers of intricate production (the male voice VFX, the distortred bass, the warm synth pads, Ariana's harmonies and ad-libs, the disco bells, the distorted chorus synths, an ethereal background choir for the final chorus). It also takes its time to build upon each element, as it has two distinguished verses, a pre-chorus that gets added production the 2nd time around, a bridge section and an expanded final chorus bookended by a rising build-up and a huge send-off. Most pop songs these days don't even get the luxury of running long enough to have a bridge or an expanded final chorus.

Everybody involved really put their all into this banger. jonny6

Still remember Lorde stanning for this song, ahh the taste! https://www.instagram.com/p/CO3MOQpHlKZ/?igsh=eGlxMDR1azlyOXZp

I remember getting mad as f*ck in the original thread for this single because she was too busy playing Pokemon GO in her fckin Cadillac instead of promoting this song lmao

Not only the best song of her career but one of the best pop songs released this century - it's phenomenal.

I lost my absolute sh*t when this dropped and it's never gotten old.

Cause it's a basic gay dance bop lol. Good song yeah, but not worthy of the endless praise it gets.

Y'all would be calling anything basic.

THIS is basic, to give you an example since we're using words wrong.

I thought we were talking about Tamia's song

This is so refreshing reading people who noticed the exact same elements than me and who experienced the song in a similar way.

After Into You, i was desperately searching for songs who created in me a similar feeling... And i failed to it.

I also understand people who can only heard the skin deep level on the song. But when you are really a fan of pop music, you can tell what makes it good, unique and high level.

It's like an hamburger. You can serve one with basic elements and call it "fine and satisfying" cause most of people just need that. But you can also make one with more subtleness and the different elements will pop up at different moments while you eat it. Into You belongs to the second category.
