Do we know if there is going to be a South African BANGER à la Shake Ah Or a dancehall BANGER à la JUMP ? I need this Dynamite/Mr Media type of SHiiiiiiT !!!!!!!!!

I'm sure there will be, i'm hoping they led with the poppy mid tempos and the rest of the album is amapiano/afro house banger after banger

She thinks tweeting is promo? rip

@Sex with Rih festival performances are not promo, most people there are already fans or just there for the festival .

Tyla should on tv shows right now promoting this album, going to radio shows ,performing on daytime/morning tv /award shows . These are places where there's a large audience that is not already her fans that will hear her being interviewed/singing and decide to check her album out.

it is promo, its recorded and goes on soc media and people rediscover her music, you act like we live in stoneage

"Where's the marketing!!????"

As if Tyla has not performed at least 2 times at festivals in the last 10 days with 3 more shows to do including one on the day of album release , has not been doing back to back interviews, has not been scheduling listening parties all around the world including the US, has not been teasing snippets, has not been doing album photoshoots, countdowns, doing dance challenges on TikTok

What more must the poor girl do?

Girl, this is not promo. This is not the promo that finds the GP. She needs to perform for talk shows, awards shows, do televised interviews.

The stuff you listed is not going to push the needle for her album

Yall are delusional.

Tyla is no big first week numbers girl but she delivers a body of work. I'm thinking they got the mid tempos etc out the way and we willlll really get some bangers. I'm so excited.

the music (from what we've heard and the snippets) just simply doesn't reflect this aesthetic at all

She's releasing an album at the end of the month? Who knew? Certainly not anyone outside of the internet considering there's been like 0 marketing for this album... one magazine shoot three months ago, dud singles, no televised performances for these singles (AMAs + BET Awards came and went, was nominated for both too), just very low effort. I was promised HYBE was going to supercharge her career to new heights. rip

They've dropped the ball on her so tremendously, which is a little bit ridiculous cause I'm sure her team are aware of the constant pitchforks are on her (nigerians + the african american generic public + now rihanna fans) so every t and i needed to be crossed and dotted when it came to this album.

Good luck to her tho there might be a saving grace / Jump somewhere.. and the reviews are looking good.

(I'm just scared for the first week sales backlash. they've just spent the last month tearing Lizzo and other black women in pieces)

Launching an album without a current hit single is definitely a choice. Epic Records is the worst. rip

Current hit. Chanel was released in October 2025. coffee2

I'm a Shakira fan and she has the #1 song in the world. gaycat5

How can anyone be this mad about an album that is not even out 😩 sales and charts are such a non event when you make good music with a distinct aesthetic

I hope u realize that the criticisms here are about Lizzo's music being horrid and Chloe being a borderline Chaturbate model, Tyla will be fine so don't group her with those thank u

Very solid album.

If it was played in its entirety there are 2 more features: a male vocalist that I couldn't identify and an amapiano female artist.

I didn't hear any snippets but I saw some of you saying the aesthetic didn't match the album and I kinda disagree? There are slower / midtempo moments but if my memory doesn't fail it's just 2 out of the 10 new songs played. Everything else is something you can dance to - even one of the "slower" songs is danceable.

Nonchalant, That Girl and Nobody Else (not certain about the title for this one, but the chorus goes something like "you don't need / want nobody else") are my favorites and feel like the heavy hitters of the album.

A remix of viral german song Gut Genug featuring Tyla was played and should be released soon.

A tour was confirmed.

To be honest they joked about it being an exclusive for the listening party today but at the same time they said it'll be released soon (?) so we were kind of confused tbh lol

Yeah 100% while there are still pop elements on the album which are quite evident on midtempo "Fantasy" (I think that's what it's called lol it's the one with a featured male vocalist that comes right after IS IT on the tracklist), I feel like the album is still very typical Tyla in the most positive way possible.
