does she even want to be a solo artist? from what the insider was originally saying I assumed she was mostly okay with not being in the group / performing anymore but I'm still confused.. esp after recent posts straight up suggesting she was fired after all. it's crazy if the reason they can't officially announce she's out is cuz of the Matrix deal or w/e, but if they're doing it for marketing/engagement then it's even worse. they've handled this pretty terribly any way I look at it.. the amount of hate the girls have received and the brand damage is just... unnecessary? I mean from what the public saw she didn't skip a lot of work or held them back in any way? it almost seems like it would've been more worth it to keep Manon around in a more limited capacity idk plus they were in such an amazing position at the beginning of the year (and still are, but imagine if a lot of the negativity/discourse around this mess hadn't happened. they're pretty huge but I get the feeling a lot of the older fans kinda checked out a bit from the fanbase as well)

it's also crazy that they still picked her to begin with and didn't predict any of this alleged behavior pre-debut, or even pre-Beautiful Chaos cuz they kept making her more and more prominent? while at the same time testing them as 5 (like the insider claimed they were doing with the Gabriela performance video)? it just doesn't make a lot of sense businesswise? and why did they acknowledge her on stage at Lollapalooza Argentina and then stop? but then remain ambiguous when asked about her in interviews.. like why did Sophia say "the door is always open" a month or so ago? why did their socials wish Manon a happy bday at the end of JUNE??

I remember the user saying/implying that Missy's promotion was related to her departure too (but maybe it's just cuz since Manon was out she'd get to have a bigger role? as it would also make no sense for them to piss her off by giving someone she supposedly didn't like/had issues with more power over the group ) whole thing just feels weird

I think, to some degree, all of these girls are probably unhappy. KATSEYE was a dream sold to them when they were kids, and the reality is they likely didn't fully understand what they were signing up for. They have very little control over their music, clothes, creative direction, or schedule. They're essentially being molded into a brand rather than being given space to develop as individuals.

Even vocally, their voices are blended together so heavily that the group sounds like one person rather than five or six distinct artists. And with the lineup constantly shrinking, members repeatedly absent for being "sick" or "not feeling well," plus two currently on hiatus, it's hard not to notice that lack of individuality being intentional.

I just think these girls are realizing there's a difference between getting the dream you were promised and realizing what that dream actually costs you.

maybe it doesn't matter if they are indeed very unhappy and overworked but it hasn't even been that long since they debuted and they're all still very young.. you'd think with the massive success/exposure they'd just be there to ride the moment out at least a lil longer so they have a good platform to go do whatever they want individually (which should kinda be everybody's mindset from the moment you sign up for a reality show-formed group ) and maybe I'm wrong, but I don't rly get the feeling that they hate their creative team as much as the internet wants to believe either but who knows
