I'm also getting This Love either by The Veronicas or Kesha, dealer's choice

I personally don't hear much Taylor in here. if any, at all

the feelings I get from this song remind me a lot of the feelings I first got when I first listened to Gold Coins or London Queen by Charli xcx it's pop perfection but it's got this hardcore new wave nostalgia to it, and it's unafraid to be a bit raw and fuzzy too. it sounds like an instant classic pretty much!

So um kind of one of her best songs ever, like possibly top 5, right?

Raw and fuzzy is so right. I love her voice in the outro it's so intimate and clear and real despite the thick layers all around it. Crazy

carrying on from that thought^ I feel like Dan Nigro is kinda the new Ariel Rechtshaid no? Ariel did a few songs on Sucker and did a lot on Night Time, My Time and this reminds me of that type of girly power pop

Kinda has the vibe of a Feist song. Not really into this as a lead single for someone at Olivia's level. Feels very small scale and too similar to her past albums.

Waxing poetic about a 16 year old song in response to me bringing up lyrics off a 6 month old album. Seems even you diehards can't find a way to defend her most recent lyrics. Enchanted was great, I love that song. Olivia Rodrigo was in diapers when it dropped.

I can't imagine being 36, watching a 23 year old release a lead single which proves more mature, creative, better sung, better structured, and more interesting than any song on my last three entire albums. That must hurt. I would be desperately threatened, too.

I only remember the Pisces/Gemini line after one listen. Yeah, it's not memorable. Nothing to stick with you.

I like it a lot, but I don't think it's lead material. The structure of the song is chaotic and for me at least it's difficult to remember the melody. However, the production is great (Dan never fails), and the last chorus is utterly great.

If it becomes a hit, I'd be surprised, but who knows. Still hyped for the whole thing tho.
