this album was kind of underwhelming

Tate McRae's team debuts questionable promo teasing new era
Dua Lipa has a different lane carved out for her I am sorry but "So Close To What" would never be what "Future Nostalgia" was and what it did for pop culture. In my opinion, Dua Lipa has a different stylistic sound and persona to Tate's. Dua's music is more disco, bad feminist type/ feel good type music while Tate music is like "I'm a bad *****" the sound of their music are polar opposites as well. And the difference with Dua and Tate too is that Dua Lipa (even though she flopped with "Radical Optimism") she has already made a mark on the industry with "Future Nostalgia" and had made a name for herself. The only reason why DL4 has such a huge hype is because of the producers she worked with and everyone wants her to succeed after Radical Optimism cuz she did that before. Tate hasn't made a name for herself at least not as yet. "So Close To What" was a step in the right direction for having a unique sound but we will see what happens. If she does the same exact sound as "So Close To What" tho I don't think she'll make it.

Tate McRae's team debuts questionable promo teasing new era
no offense but to me Olivia hasn't made a huge mark in the industry yet, could i see her doing that in the future? Yes! with the new album to me she is going onto a corrrect path! with Tate I agree as well she hasn't really established herself, but tbh if you take just 1 year and come back in early 2027 or mid 2027 with a new sound everyone is going to be talking about you and thats what I want from Tate. first of all "Think Later" was what "So Close To What" was supposed to be in the first place, just idk why she decided to put a lot of ballads on there....ig she wanted to keep the same audience from "I Used To Think I Could Fly". So I guess it made sense for her to rework some outtakes that didn't make the cut on "Think Later" for a more upbeat hip hop/trap pop/pop like album. And this goes for every artist though, the more time an artist spends in the studio and experience life, the better the music would be. Which is why for example with Dua Lipa, I am glad she took a 1-2 year break after she flopped with "Radical Optimism". So she could focus better on her craft. She did that same thing with "Future Nostalgia" and look at what "Future Nostalgia" has become. Even though personally to me, the music from "Radical Optimism" wasn't a flop to me, the era was just executed poorly with the rollout and would have done better if promoted properly.

Tate McRae's team debuts questionable promo teasing new era
personally I think its too soon for her to start a new era, she needs to keep on cooking in the studio and give us something a bit different from the mega success that was "So Close To What".

Charli xcx - 'Music, Fashion, Film'
love the vibe of the album but i think she could have done something a lot more with this type of sound, such a mid album. Love Card Declined tho

Troye Sivan teases new era
Bloom and Blue Neighbourhood are his magnum opuses really, the In A Dream EP to me is worst than the STGEO album it kind of felt bland. It had some cute songs but overal it's not his best. STGEO is a little step up from it but it would never compare to how good Bloom and Blue Neighbourhood are.

Zara Larsson signs to RCA Records
also this comment had me

Zara Larsson signs to RCA Records
whats so crazy tho is that RCA has a very bad reputation with regards to signing artists and managing them but they're pushing Tate McRae in front of everyone's faces and everywhere too, I guess let's hope they do the same for Zara Larsson.....

7 snippets from Dua Lipa's upcoming album surface online
its no problem! I love how you could actually see the behind the scenes of certain songs and the studio pics are so cute that she posts! they also feel like somewhat of a Dua Lipa diary too! I didn't see any for DL1 but I think majority of her studio sessions posts are on her facebook page you could try there to get them! and she archived her old posts from instagram so that's a bummer.

Wait are you that user on Twitter who made the thread with the creation process for Future Nostalgia and Radical Optimism? If it's you could you make one for DL4?

7 snippets from Dua Lipa's upcoming album surface online
they sound like she took that disco sound from FN but did something new with it where they sound a little more fresh, but this era is going to be like "a diverse Future Nostalgia" so like for example, how she worked with many different producers for DL1 it will be like FN x DL1 except the era doesn't necessarily have similar sounds to DL1 but similar in terms of working with many different producers.

Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
I am really proud she has done something a little different and you can tell it was still her on this album 7.5/10 I only disliked 2-3 songs so its a pass in my book. Also honeybee is my fave song from the album. The album sounded more indie to me than pop rock kinda. I think this era is her transitional era to full on pop diva. Stupid Song is my favorite single so far.

Ellie Goulding - 'I Know Too Much'
Love this song so much! A bop I'm ready for the album!

Ellie Goulding - 'I Know Too Much'
well I love the leaks from the new album lets see how this album is and the rollout for it goes. I like the cover but the name I guess we could work with. I wish she gave it a better name than this like her other album names being iconic like "Halcyon", "Delirium", "Brightest Blue" and "Higher Than Heaven" such good album names

Ariana Grande - "hate that i made you love me"
idk why ya'll are hating but i like the song, it sounds slightly different to her past work. It sounds like a new updated version of 'We Can't Be Friends" but a more modernized recent version. Extremely excited for the album on July 31st

Olivia Rodrigo - "the cure"
I just hope the album is gonna be good, the song grew on me.
