Afrojack, Sia & David Guetta - "Awake Tonight"

Featured Replies

A 2014 track Sia and Stargate produced for Foxes that was unreleased. Now reworked by Afrojack and David Guetta.

Immediately no.

Titanium is one of my most hated songs. They still play it in clubs in the uk (god knows why) and I have to leave. Awful, awful, awful.

I'd rather listen to Shake it Off on repeat, I'd rather have Christina scream directly in my ears for an hour straight, I'd rather put my balls in a blender.

We're so passed the need of soulless EDM music

Out next Friday. The finished track is a huge earworm. I actually think it needs a less-happy, sadder version. The release notes say Afrojack has spent over 8 years working on the song. Guetta and Sia kept rejecting his demos, but the version coming out is one they're all happy with. They consider it the sequel to "Titanium".

Thanks for the info! Do you know if Sia is planning a new album for this year?

Not that I'm aware of. She has been working on other people's music.

This is kind of…. embarrassing???

A banger. I hope the new production didn't destroy the soul of the song as they did with "Beautiful People"

I feel so bad for him because this song is literally horrendous — imagine trying for years to get a song released and it's this bad. There's obviously a reason Sia and David didn't want to release it.

It sounds unfinished, her vocals sound the worst they've ever sounded, it's dated, it's flat, it's boring and… it's just a bad song

That's so terrible, every part sounds like a different song and I can't understand what she says most of the time

Edit: the way the background vocals at 2:16 sample her vocals at 3:05 in Perfume by Britney, just frankensteining random 15 year old vocals at this point for a quick song rip

This sounds terrible. I know she is hard for cash after her recent divorce settlement, but maybe release (good) new music instead?

the vocals are the main issue, i have no idea of what she's saying. everything is so slurred and she's barely following a melody. the instrumental is kinda good

The amount she has to pay, she's clearly not hard for cash, you twit.

What a wasted potential here with these names on the song.

they destroyed beautiful people but what is this... it's like she did a rough one take and called it a day.

If anything then they should've just released the Foxes version if Sia was too lazy to re record her vocals again cause this isnt a bad song
