My excitement for this album is diminishing tbh, the songs are all fine but nothing mindblowing :/ This one especially could've used one more chorus at the end

I'm already expecting the 'album trilogy' parallels to extend into SB's reception, as well:

• D and WYP?: new, fresh sounds --> everyone, critics and fans, LOVES

• TL and T!FG!: extensions of prior albums' sound while exploring new territory --> people still enjoy, but much less so

• GH and SB: less exciting, not as different or as much growth --> people find boring and are tired, sound has "overstayed its welcome"

Oh, how rewarding it is to love every Jessica project. You see when you are EXCELLENT and a VOCALIST...

TFG was definitely the bigger album off the back of WYP, but I do think @ahauntingnearu comparison will line up with fans online probably.

Automatic has been a huge grower though, I can't get the chorus out of my head the last few days

this is so beautiful and cinematic, how is not the majority gagging over this

These might be objectively true, but critically, WYP? is still more acclaimed. The amount of people and publications that talked (and still talk) about it and included it in their year-end lists and mentioned it as a COVID staple/standout. That holds more weight than a 5 point score difference on MC. Who's talking about T!FG! anymore (in a positive way) since it released? Lol (unfortunately! Underrated!)

considering that the sales/acclaim are comparable, i think the streams are pretty telling here.

WYP deluxe - 201m

TFG - 91m (her least streamed album overall by a significant chunk and less than WYP daily)

So far this album is shaping up to be a masterpiece
