I agree that we needed an upbeat single for the first one and she put out no sleep. I think maybe if burn it up was first would've gained more traction. But maybe not. It's a really good album that I played a lot I should go back to it actually. It's hard to believe that she hasn't had a new studio album now out in 11 years!!

The way you spiral whenever Xtinct gets wacked here is hilarious

She famously dropped the album and forgot it existed and did zero promo. It was excuse to tour but she got pregnant so even the tour got delayed.

But it hit #1 in the US and Canada. #11 in the UK and Australia, #12 in the Netherlands and top 20 in Japan and S Korea. it did well for an independent album.

No Sleep was a hit in R&B radio spending 10 weeks on the adult R&B charts and #63 on the hot 100
