this has been brought up countless times in Stan world but if the reality is the GP (outside of enthusiasts) have stopped buying I don't know what can be done about that.

People get so hung up on short songs being "TikTok bait" that they kinda overrate long songs. A song being under 2 and a half minutes doesn't make it bad and a song being over 5/6 minutes doesn't make it good. I actually find it pretty impressive when an artist manages to make a short song that still feels complete

People are terrible at recommending me songs to listen to. I only enjoy like 10% of the songs other people play me.

This is probably more of an unpopular opinion on here vs the GP, but I vastly prefer streaming over the digital/physical era from a consumer's perspective. The convenience of having countless songs and albums just a search or playlist away is so much nicer than having a ton of CDs that you have to sort through or skip around to find the song you want to listen to. It's also way cheaper than downloading each individual song you want as well.

THIS IS THE WRONG CATEGORY

Music is meant to be MUSIC!!!

Lyrics are secondary and unnecessary and not apart of the vast majority of music out there!!!

But that would mean that too many artists aren't making good enough albums and I only stan artists that have immaculate discographies.

Some literal classics from like…the Motown era are less than 3 minutes so yeah, they definitely don't know wtf they're talking about.

Beyoncé will be the only one remembered outside of her TRL peers.
