When "Can I Watch You" is a deluxe vinyl exclusive, then what?

it's her first real foray into an anniversary rerelease so we have nothing to compare it to. My guess would be closer to homecomings numbers.

only the standard vinyl is shipping first week and the inventory obviously won't be anything like her main studio albums.

we also don't know what this project is yet. Is it simply old repackaged material in the same sound quality? Remastered? New versions? Or something more typical of a Beyoncé surprise.

The whole thing is also weirdly timed.. why B'Day? Why now? Why does it line up perfectly with Jays show? Parkwoods campaign is surprisingly clearly working as bday just had its highest streaming day ever and the handling of Donk has been suspiciously good. Remixes, letting radio build in time for the release week.

If this pulled Homecoming numbers (unlikely unless it's rerecorded, which won't be the case), this would be top 3 on Billboard 200 easily. Homecoming didn't peak higher just because it surprised released on a Wednesday without physicals.

This has a single (currently getting its first adds in Top 40 radio), vinyls, an entire week of tracking and a potential performance on release day. It's not impossible for it to debut high (if there's new material). If it's just the same old album it will get like 5M streams on day 1 and that's it.

The standard vinyl started shipping already. The deluxe vinyl might start shipping at some point too.

5 mil isn't far off Homecomings debut though? first day could still be pretty reasonable, with a huge drop on day 2 if nothing new or surprising happens.

Bday is already pulling 1.5, so while id expect some of that to shift to the new release, the hits should also see an increase. The "new" unreleased tracks should draw some attention, Donk should get a nice boost and the big outlier is let me watch you. If it's an interlude then never mind but if it's something they actually push with playlisting could do okay.

Looking at her streaming numbers, they are significantly better than they were even a couple of years ago. I think B'day could be a nice warmup on streaming for ACT III

This makes it more interesting. Either only physicals or a global release (which would be highly sus).

It'll be hilarious if it's physical only. The fact that we are hours away and still don't know for sure if it'll be on streaming
