Finally listened to the Remixes (damn there are 4) *update note: lol there are 3, one is just Explicit vs Clean version of Jay remix.

1. ft. JAY-Z: something about it is rough and a bit off, and Jay's rap isn't hitting too hard. This is almost a bit... experimental? By the end its cute but only cuz of B. Lol. What is the point of these remixes? Some parts made me wish to hear B on some groovy jazz, almost. This can be a background mood.

2. Donk MIX: Wait... what's the difference between Donk and Donk mix? I'm grooving to this. Maybe the trick is that if you are forced to hear 4 versions of this song, you might finally catch the vibe. lol.

3. Acoustic: is so good. Just B and a guitar, some snaps, and her voice and harmonies. Whew.


So... has she said anything what this whole Donk situation is... just for B'day anniversary? (confusion)

Yes I am referring to those lyrics in addition to the "no more R&B..." section which are lyrics and vocals that are emphatically NOT in the originally released version of the song.

The fact that they exist in the leaked demo is irrelevant when they do not officially appear in anything but the remixed version of the original track.

To say otherwise would be to claim 4 and RENAISSANCE did not have any new music on them when they were released, because they were leaked.

girl we all have heard the leaked version. that's the whole reason she released it from the vault to begin with, because it went viral multiple times on tiktok.

she literally put those lines in the remix because people were making morning dew edits including it and posting videos about how theyre mad she cut that part out of the song.

there is nothing new about those lines, semantics aside. so yeah, its no shock that hive is not really feeling anything about this remix.

The remix for AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM only has a few background "huuuuuuuuuhs" and some new outro synths. Was there uproar? This release features a brand new instrumental, an additional full acoustic version, a Jay-Z verse and a version without him if you don't like that AND the addition of elements that were previously unreleased. So yes, I think it's "shocking" that the Hive has such an issue over this.

anyone who knows what this song is already is aware of those original lyrics. no one in this base listened to that and said "wow new lyrics", so idk what you're even trying to argue here. its literally semantics. it doesn't matter if it was "officially released" or not. it's not new.

i don't need this remix for those not new bits. i have my own edit that includes it and it isn't a sonic disaster like this remix. mo bamba in 2026 is egregious.

well america has a problem doesn't have jay-z on it for one. secondly, the production is noticably different (and isn't just a loose mashup of multiple samples that don't go together) and there are new background vocals, which like i said in my original post, are still more new vocals than whats on this.

I disagree but I don't really want to go back and forth forever so we can just agree to disagree.

I shouldn't be surprised this base is bothered, that is correct. this base is rarely ever satisfied and even when they are there's something to nitpick. there were pages and pages of complaints about the RENAISSANCE album cover, as stunning as it is. people were sharing photoshopped dancefloors under the horse. sometimes her vision takes time. and if you never get it, you can be soothed by the fact that this is a remix for a bonus content 12-year-old song that leaked many years ago, nothing you should really be that upset about.

it's kinda baffling how she feels the need to dumb her creativity and music down when she works with him since EIL. same way she goes less hard performance wise when she's on stage with him

just compare the mostly bad music they made together and its lyrics since 2018 and compare it with lemonade, ren and CC him helping in the studio is fine but damn they really have nothing interesting to say together anymore

It's like I can hear her perfectly with this sound. It's honestly kinda shocking she hasnt done much with an orchestra. I hope Denis villeneuve asks her to do the Bond theme... I can see her in a gorgeous gown surrounded by a full orchestra
