It was such a good time. Jay sounded great and he had the Roots as his band. It was like witnessing his MTV Unplugged with his newer music.

I am not sure why people are so eager to say she's retiring; she is 44. Most artists make music well until their 60s, Madonna, Aretha, etc. like why people think she'd retire at 44? That's weird.

I never believed for one second that Bey would surprise drop Act III. It's obvious when she released the other two albums that this trilogy is a special time for her in her music journey so before releasing each project, she wants to prepare the fans and present the work which she did for both albums on her own terms, presenting the album cover on IG and telling us what inspired the album. There is no reason to not do the same for the last act.

Now that the made-up May 29th ish is in rearview, a few thoughts:

• If, as I hope, Act III is still this year, one upside is a more condensed frame between the album and the tour. These year-plus gaps between the music and its live component have been...something. Especially with the absolute NOTHING she typically gives in between.
  
  Granted, I'd take the music ASAP, I like that we are likely pacing towards a more conventional-"feeling" era of the music landing close to when she takes it on the road. If she then drops the visuals in between that same frame, there's "arguably" a rollout plan that will, at the very least, "feel" more maximalist than we've had with the previous acts. Sometimes it's not how much one does (we know it has a cap), but it's the when/how/flow.
  

• Grammys: will be very interesting to see how she navigates the Act III campaign in this regard. We are basically in June and no sign of anything just yet. I am firm in my belief that she won't surprise drop for a while, as she needs the order frame to maximize sales. If she needs at least 4-6 weeks of preorder avails, the frame to make the Grammy deadline (August 31) is closing...fast.
  
  It'd be very interesting if she were to submit and push the lead single for this upcoming Grammys (ROTY, SOTY) and the album for the 2028 cycle. Allows her to be a centerpiece of both broadcasts. Given all the surprise drops, and tight single-to-album frames in the past, it would be the first time this would have been her predicament for a while (if ever it has been).
  

• Random but related: I'm more convinced than ever that Act III will arrive ala Rennie and CC - sans visuals. The all-encompassing film should land within Act III's release frame but only once the dust has settled 1-2 months. There was a time I thought it would be the perfect companion piece for Act III, but attention spans are short and virality is hard to predict. I always chuckle and wince at the possibility of something random af from Act I or II visuals going viral over Act III...which ironically is the Act that would need to benefit the most.
  
  In short, the film can and should tie everything together and be released in a way/at a time that enhances that rather than take anything away.

Her current strategy is perfect in my opinion. A big break after releasing the two acts is the biggest way any artist could create hype. She doesn't have to do a damn thing but work on her craft, privately. She is Beyoncé so you know the work is happening behind the scenes. What it means for us is an upcoming era that will be more coherent, even better in quality than the other two acts and she is doing it with no pressure, while supporting her husband in his own musical journey and getting inspiration from that as well, as they are in tune doing musical stuff. All of this means perfect alignment for us to have the best project yet. As fans, i dont see how any of us can find any negativity in any of this. We just have to be patient.

As much as I want the music ASAP, I do agree with this. Rather give an extra gap until the final act (we are in the middle of the year already and Grammy deadline is August 31st).

She can wait until after that date to release the album, then bring the visuals in 3 separate episodes with Netflix or Prime (space them out through 2027), perform in the Grammys 2028 ceremony (would be 11 years since she last performed on the show) and right after it announce a joint tour with the DC3 girls to celebrate 30 years of their music careers and perform all 3 acts at the same time...

I mean, 2025 was just last year. People need to miss her a bit and get hyped. 2028 tour is a better option I think...

Act iii will be just like i and ii, one week of hype and then radio silence with no visuals and an overpriced tour that's RWT 3.0 with nothing but studio versions played because her new music director doesnt know how to use live instruments.

Just give us the beenroc site, the cégars, and same 3 beyonce twitter accounts over analyzing everything ( example: "her album credits are the same height as Prince when he released purple rain"). There's my half-assed meltdown because I care about the act's eras as much as Beyoncé does
