The new Jay-Z interview with GQ is so good. Jay-Z is so smart.

Also, his album definitely not ready, so Act III is safe.

Yeah there's definitely no new music coming out for at least a couple of months

My mom passed away last week. I know I mentioned her wanting to hear a Beyonce rock album as she has anticipated it for years, and I'm so sad she didn't get to hear it before she passed (if that's wha

Bey isn't a trending artist though, she actually has one of the healthiest catalogs in the industry. You're focusing on CC daily streams but she's still gaining 10 million streams daily across her entire discography.

She has 21 billion solo streams so even if her collabs are her most streamed currently, her solo songs are carrying. She also has 81 songs that have crossed 100 million streams which is a lot more than a lot of other artists. Her streams aren't condensed into 10-15 smash hits, people are listening to her deep cuts and album tracks too.

One part I really enjoyed about Jay's interview was him talking about how much of a monster Bey is in the studio. About how she can hear a certain sound/beat and inquire about it 8 months later for a song.

I saw someone on Twitter say Chase Infiniti could play Bey. They don't look too much alike, but I could see her embodying her

hopefully jay z doing an interview opens the window for Beyoncé to start doing the same again

Don't waste too much energy arguing with trolls on Jay's threads, save that for act iii streaming threads.

It's weird that he uses that as an example of her talent... If you're surrounded with musicians who produce in the studio, this is very common occurence. She just liked it so much, that she wanted to revisit it.

There's no denying that B is a great producer, because her albums are so cohesive, but that in itself, is such a nothing burger.

It's only one of the examples of her talents. Bey was described as a "mad scientist" in the studio and this just further proves her deep involvement. And is it common, especially for popular artists? Most of them come, record what they are given and leave with minimal to no input, let alone caring about what drums they are using in the instrumental. I would say Gaga and Taylor are another examples of artists that are really involved in the writing and production of their music (for better or for worse) caring about details like these, but overall it's rare.

It's rare perhaps amongst commercial artists, but musicians, artists and producers alike; not so rare.

One thing id like to say in between my lashings:

The moment Bey does Copacobana and anounces some sort of Trilogy Residency in Brazil, Shanghai, Singapore and Johannesburg, Beymania will be upon us. jonny5

The biggest issue I have is Beyonce not releasing music videos.

Yes. The last 2 eras have been ridiculous. She used to be ahead of the game and now, well …

Do y'all consider Beyoncé to be on Whitney's level vocally? I came across these 2 clips and it just got me thinking how the Hive views Whitney's voice, especially in comparison to Bey. Do you think they're in the same lane? If so what performances would you point to that show Bey being even on surpassing Whitney's voice here?

Tina will run an esteemed Michelin-starred restaurant before this comes to fruition

if jay releases an album this year, the chances of us getting OTR III go up expeditiously...

remember that Magna Carta & BEYONCÉ were both dropped in 2013.

hell, lemonade and 4:44 released almost a year apart and we still got stuck with OTR II

im kinda scared gaycat6

They both did solo tours for both of their albums, though. If she wants to do OTRIII after this trilogy (albums/tours/visuals) is completed, I'm completely fine with that. By then, she'd given us so much in like 5 years.

I think Bey belongs in the vocal trinity but that will never happen because she is such a great performer. It's weird though how she is considered a performer vs vocalist nowadays when the main reason why people even started ******* with Bey during her solo career was because she was the anti Janet anti Britney spears in a sense. Bey was dancing and had powerful vocals and was considered the whole package. I recall Tina turner being both as well but there wasn't a lot of female entertainers like that in the pop scene. Also Whitney houston had an amazing technical Voice but a lot of people also love her tone. Some people don't like Bey vocal tone which always startled me so I don't think the GP will ever put her in the same tier with Whitney. It's crazy though because Bey is so ******* vocally talented and has range. She can do it all. Also Bey is versatile when it comes to her tone.

Self titled only got a a small leg of MCS by itself and it was not in the US. On The Run was the self-titled tour for the USA. The US MCS shows were for 4.

Worst case scenario she does like 5-10 dates for an act iii tour and then a much larger tour with her husband.
