I need to visit one day. One of my best friends is from the Philippines and currently lives in Melbourne, and she says it's absolutely beautiful.

I used to live there and I miss it so much. I wanna go back next year. My favourite city in the world ❤️

Australia seems very welcoming, but I also kinda really detest and hate the heat. Is there like an antarctica-adjacent kind of part of it?

Australia really isn't that hot!   :dies:  except maybe Darwin and Queensland but it't not unbearable.  But Melbourne is one of the colder states.

melbourne is literally hated for its cold weather lmaoooo

its only really queensland that's hot, and that's in the summer

Beautiful city! Spent a week there while on vacation, great transportation network, loved the Victoria museum and Botanical Gardens, Yara river is so nice, and great coffee shops + went to a very cool bar somewhere, I forget the name, but struck up a great convo with some locals there (even though they thought I was American lol) :alexz3: Would love to go back some day

That's Sydney :suburban:

Melbourne been raining and cold the last month we might get like 32 hot days during Fall sometimes worst case 38 but it's rarely

I moved here earlier this year. Loving it so far :ducky: maybe it's because I didn't experience life in Melbourne pre Covid but I don't have any real major complaints? I hear a lot from people that grew up here that it's gone downhill over the past few years though. I could be wrong but I feel like that's just life in every major city since Covid 🤷‍♂️

I prefer Sydney much more, it's giving better weather and people.

Melbourne streets and cafes have a lovely vibe reminiscent of Europe though.
