The outrage didn't cancel her. There was just simply no profit to make. Her 2nd album sold literally nothing.

never understood her flop because mirrors was IT and was pushed by the label

kinda crazy how a publicity stunt that x factor forced her to do literally ruined her career severely. that combined with not releasing music often hasn't helped either, getting gay people to stan you as an alt artist is so easy nowadays too.
