I know this has been discussed a lot but with their updates and improvements, where does each service stand in 2025? Some key considerations:

 

• Sound quality: lossless audio, bit rate.
• Features & content: offline listening, AI-driven recommendations, its social component, exclusive content (merch shop, podcasts, music videos, interviews)
• User Experience: interface, device compatibility

The only thing Spotify has over Apple Music is that the UI is better and easier to navigate. Plus being able to connect easily across devices.

I find AM a lot simpler to use with a much more elegant feel and design. Its integration with IPhone just makes it way better for iPhone users!

Apple Music, for all. Every now and then I'll find an audio mix to be off. I'm not sure if that's just the music and its mixing, itself, or Apple Music. Or it could just be the way I have my equalizer set. Who knows? Anyway, I find Apple Music to have the best quality overall.

 

When it comes to features and user experience, Apple Music clears again. I remember I used Spotify once iTunes was decommissioned to be able to scrobble to Last.fm and I just found it tediously cumbersome to navigate. I desperately searched for a way to scrobble with Apple Music and instantly transferred back whenever I did. I don't find that Spotify has a user friendly interface like Apple Music does.
