Yeah, this one is about Gaga vs Dua but let's give some context:

- Both almost peaked at the top 10 and perfomed similarly on Billboard Hot 100 (Abra: 20 weeks, #13; Houdini: 23 weeks, #11).

- Over 100m on Youtube, which is kinda hard to get for US pop girls nowadays (Abra: 168M, released 5 months ago; Houdini: 214M, released 20 months ago).

- Acclaimed by critics.

- Certified bops.

- 2024 and 2025 SOTY respectively. :gaycat3:

Which one do you prefer?

I really love Houdini, but I didn't have that kind of response to it where I HAD to listen to it.

Abracadabra is as revolutionary as Bad Romance was when it dropped 15 years ago.

The fact that Gaga has TWO songs at that level of industry shifting is a goddamn achievement.

the only good part is the use of tame impala sounds

Both good but Houdini had better longevity for me. I played Abra a lot when it came out but now? Not as much. Houdini I first heard on the radio but I didn't immediately add it to my playlist or anything. Eventually I did get around to listening to it as well as RO. It's not like I play it every day, but I certainly play it more than Abra I fell like.

Houdini is a masterpiece

Abra chorus is sort of a joke, but it's still a bop

I only loce the last part of abra with the oh oh and melody hate the chorus it gets on my nerves and houdini is forgettable....period

Abra is more catchy but a bit hard to digest for me, depending on my mood.

Houdini is more "mid" but i found it more enjoyable to play, even 2 years later.

I prefer Houdini.

Disease is the better song tho :ryan3:

They're both amazing. I'd say that Abracadabra hits a little harder, but on the long run, I can see it becoming a bit annoying/dated while Houdini has something that can make it feel more timeless imo.

Abra is untouchable. But Houdini is an amazing song, it deserved better.

Abra is a career defining moment (see live performances) and Houdini is a cute lil bop!

Houdini still sounds fresh almost two years later, whereas I hardly listen to Abracadabra anymore. They're both fantastic pop songs though, easily some of the best of the decade so far.
