I was not secretly a Katy cat until she started releasing boof ass music. It went downhill with Prism and just completely sunk by Witness.

 

Her first two albums are iconic pop masterpieces and that is the Katy I choose to remember.

There was SOMETHING in her songwriting. I liked a lot of her pre-fame material, as well and I mean she sold many of those songs to Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Ashley Tisdale etc. 

There was something there.

 

Prism was tailor made to be huge but it already missed the spark. I think Smile is a little bit underrated.

The way people still don't understand that Witness was actually that experimental/evolutional step further that they have always blamed her of not having done it.

The way listening to a new surfaced unreleased track by Katy makes you realize every single time that it never deserved to be left unreleased (Method to my madness and Energy has entered the chat)

This makes a bit more sense. My friend ne of her better outtakes. Her OOTB has outtakes were pretty fantastic. 

This song is really good and I am loving the backing vocals! She should have released this as a standalone or on the deluxe.

She really needs to give "fire" a break from her songwriting. In fact, a break from songwriting entirely would benefit her as of late
