Actually, I do think she has space to grow and mature her talent into something interesting over the coming years, and I'm quite sure she'll go the distance. That's So True remains the single catchiest song of the past year, and that power cannot be underestimated. 
 

The disconnect for a lot of the users here is that she very clearly is not thinking about baguettes while making her music, and some of y'all have a hard time enjoying music that's not a giant queen-out spectacle. Let the straight girlies enjoy miss Gracie in peace without having to listen to you melting down about her, please and thanks

i didn't take to good riddance but the secret of us was one of my faves from last year, always like the messy, overemotional pop girls.

 

i love all the drama but what really surprised me about it is that gracie absolutely has the hooks, makes me wonder if her co-writer flatmate is her secret weapon on the newer material and she just needed the right team to move her on.

 

faves are blowing smoke, i love you i'm sorry (esp the live version), normal thing and tough love. that's so true is cute and fun and one of those songs where you think "was that really #1 for two months?" wow

Gracie has won her first AMA today (best new artist)!! The grammys might have let us down, but amas did one thing right (only one though).
