      I believe Melodrama remains her magnum opus, but Virgin sounds absolutely incredible. It's the Lorde we know, yet it also feels incredibly refreshing. In Hammer, she mentioned, "I might be born again,

    Couldn't resist. A lot can change from these snippets with yelling people so after listening to them only once I'm gonna hold back until the album drops. But my first impressions were very positive and I was surprised. It's evolved but still familiar, like Lorde's holding your hand while she takes you through this new layer of herself.

    This may be niche but everytime I listen to What Was That and she sings the MDMA line I hear "MDNA in the back garden, blow our pupils up" and the sole thought of someone blasting the MDNA album on the speakers is making me crack up

    the clean radio version says MDNA instead of MDMA so you might not be tripping and it's a real possibility that you heard that somewhere

    I wonder if an apple music interview is coming this week. we've already been generously fed with podcasts, but I'd love a conversation that laser-focuses on the album's songwriting and production, akin to the "behind the melodrama" series she did in 2017. 10-20 minute episodes for each track.
