Since TS12 is gonna be 1989 2.0 it's likely to follow the usual August/October rollout. 

I don't know if I want a lead from Taylor before we get to hear the album cuz since ME!th she's had 2 hits (cardigan and Anti-Hero) and 2 misses (willow and Fortnight). But if she follows the pattern, the next one will be a smash!

Ok.  I see that y'all are clowning in here so I will add my two cents.

 

I think ts12 is coming in late October/early November.  We are not going to get an announcement before late august.  (So no need to clown around now).

 

Why? 
1) We know that Taylor finished TTPD around September of 2023 and we know she hasn't been working on Rep(TV), so she hasn't music that she has been working on for a while.  

2) She has been doing random performances and appearances which older swifties know tends to be something she does after the album is done and she has free time.  (Also she attended all those NFL games in 2023 after TTPD was finished). 

3) She has been abnormally quiet on releasing music lately.  Even in her first decade when releases were less frequent, she would regularly release random songs here and there.  The lack of this feels intentional.  

 

Now why do I feel confident about October/November release?  8/11 records came out in Q4.  (10/15 when you count the TVs). It's a safe bet with her.

Yeah. Like Midnights, announced on 29th August, released on 21st October.

it is of my opinion that TS12 should be alt country, ala Waxahatchee 

 

but given the likely great gatsby theme teasing, it will probably be something a bit more pop. regardless, i just want something that sounds like a refresh for her.

My expectations and wishes for TS12:

 

• August announcement, October release

• Lead single in September

• Second single on album release day

• Pure pop album with explosive hooks and catchy, carefree melodies

• Subtle 70s disco influences

• Hot pink & orange color scheme

• 13 tracks (standard), 2 extra (deluxe)

• New producers (Jack on only 2 songs, Aaron on only 1)

• At least 4 high-quality music videos

• Flowy, summery wardrobe

• Sunset-by-the-beach-on-an-island vibe

• Sabrina on the remix of the fourth single

• Perform (and hopefully host) SNL during album cycle

• Smaller stadium tour: 25–35 dates

(Because TS13 will be THEE massive world tour)

It's an estimate based on how long it takes to order vinyls…especially when you are making an order of something like 3 million vinyls.  
 

It's also somewhat confirmed based on the lack of songs about Travis on the standard album.  I think both the 2am tracks for TTPD and the 3am tracks for midnights, include songs that she made in the 6-8 month period after you need to submit the album for vinyl makers, but before the album release.  
 

Also, I know that some artists have 3 month timelines for vinyls, but those are artists only ordering a mere fraction of the number Taylor does.

I don't know if anyone is interested but here are my realistic predictions of what TS12 will look like:
-announcement in August and i'm  thinking of 8/7 (87 is travis's number and would make sense if it is a love album) 
-release in October 
-the first single will be released with the album (unfortunately) 
-old hollywood aesthetic 
-the color is red (the dress at the grammys was a hint) 
-sound purely pop with r&b elements 

-not more than 2 collabs 
-max martin is the main producer but there will also be jack and some new faces 
-12/14 tracks 
-there will always be multiple physical editions 

-3 singles + 1 with the deluxe release 
-tour in 2026 but smaller than eras cause the next big tour will be for for TS13

Just fyi, vinyl turnover doesn't take nearly as long as it used to. She can print all she needs in like 3 months. The factories aren't backed up like they were when Midnights was being pressed.

 

With that said, the album is definitely coming in October. I really wish it would be early in the month or the 17th at latest.
