What do you guys use? And which one do the think is the best?

I've come to the conclusion that they're all kinda **** tbh. I mainly use Spotify and Anghami.

 

YouTube Music is underrated though, but they still have a lot of work to do.

I like everything in one app, so Apple Music, but it's not like I love it or anything. They all feel like a necessary evil

They all have their advantages and disadvantages

 

For me, Spotify is miles ahead & the only thing it lacks is lossless music which should not a problem for the GP (some people prefer Apple Music for "lossless music" but then use AirPods to stream it, make it make sense ).

 

Dolby Atmos is a gimmick, Spotify has way better playlisting/recommendations etc. and wayyyy better social features.

Spotify is also more universal (console, PC, phone, TV etc). Wrapped is a main event which I love soooo much, and my fav artists also use Spotify too.

 

Visually, Apple Music is better but it's also more glitchy.

I like better Apple Music due to it's better sound quality (aka Lossless) something Spotify says time and time again they will do but they never do it. Spotify does have better playlists though and I like that you can actually see the daily streams vs Apple Music. But Apple Music is overall my favorite, trying Spotify out for the next two months to see if I grow to like it more but it's highly doubtful I will

 

i don't listen to LOVE rap by any means, but i do really like playboi carti and his recent album shows that difference in sound quality is so much more advanced on AM rather than on Spotify. I have both but I listen to AM more due to the fact I like rap and rap just sounds better on AM.

Apple Music hands down. I use Spotify too, but the sound quality just doesn't compare. That said their recommendations and mixes are still trash. Unfortunately I don't think it will get better if they haven't improved in the past 10 years.

 

Still, for Apple Classical alone Apple Music is so much superior. They actually care about listeners and music lovers

I switch between AM and Spotify but the sound quality always has be going back to AM

YouTube Music. The way youtube premium gives you adless youtube + youtube music. A double win tbh.

Spotify has good recommendations imo, it's easier to discover new music there than Apple Music 

I've used Deezer, Spotify & Apple Music, and each time I'd go back to Spotify.

 

Apart from it being the main pop girl of streaming services, it really just has better playlisting/recommandations system.

I never struggle to get back to old gems, or find songs I've been currently streaming a lot. Everything is so easily catered to you. 

apple music, the rest sucks

Apple Music being the only one allowing to edit tags and change album covers seals the deal for me. I ain't having none of that International Deluxe Special Bonus Track Edition Remastered Spotify **** 

I like Spotify for music discovery - which is the most important for me since I am constantly trying to find new music (and Spotify is far better at finding unknown artists which are actually who I tend to prefer to explore), but I prefer Apple Music for all other aspects.

As somebody who consumes Korean and Japanese music in the west, AM's catalog is unmatched. Then there's the sound quality and exclusivity deals with pop girls for concert videos and interviews.

I tried AM and Tidal this year, but had to go back to Spotify. This was why:

 

AM:

+ Great audio quality

- I'm an Android/Windows user, the app and browser versions both ran terribly on my PC

 

Tidal:

+ Great audio quality

+ Actually a surprisingly good algorithm for me

- Lack of playlists that I use to explore and find new artists

- Kept hiccuping and pausing completely when swapping between offline/online mode, I often had to manually navigate into my "Downloaded music" section after I lost connection which sucks because I hike a lot

- Can't add local files

 

Spotify:

+ Lots of playlists

+ Actually runs on Windows/my Android phone without issues

- Algorithm is useless to me and keeps suggesting the same popular artists I never listen to until I block them completely

- Mediocre sound quality which is why I originally wanted to move away from Spotify

Spotify and it's not even close

AM is glitchy and slow. Dolby atmos is awful on some songs. Spotify easily wins.

Apple Music because I have it for free 

I somehow ended up loving Tidal, not looking back

if Spotify announces a Lossless tier I'm definitely going back.

Spotify just has the best user interface despite the non lossless quality but if u switch sound quality to very high you can't tell the difference
