I read this as adickson at first, then realized you meant to hint at the word addiction 

I did not expect this album to be one of my most anticipated this year. I can't get enough of the four singles and love the overall sound to. Hopefully the rest of the album is just as good. My favourite track so far is Aquamarine.

shes already done a whole rebrand in every other way to change her name this fair into her career is rather odd

I think it is meant as the last step to truly separate her former TikTok career from her current music career. Yeah she had a whole rebrand already but her target audience still knows her mostly from TikTok dances. People used to (and still do) clown her for this all the time and I think she struggled with this a lot

 

So rebranding with a (slightly different) name does make some sense for her. It signals a turning point in her career with a whole new identity. And its probably also a relieve for her to just be known as the popstar called Addison and leave all the old baggage behind with throwing away the Rae

wouldn't it be stupid to spent years on rebranding your persona in order to have a serious and acclaimed career, only to dip after your debut album?  I don't think this is her plan
