Blasting this album right now and Kesha's voice is truly so underrated. She deserves more recognition for it. Her tone is so unique and the way she emotes gives so much life to these songs. I legit get chills when listening to Cathedral, Freedom's intro, and Delusional's bridge 

I don't care about commercial success at all but this came and went faster than I expected it to for me. I just feel kind of whelmed about this project and the songs I return to are Boy Crazy and sometimes Glow / Joyride.

I'm late to the party but I love this. I didn't connect with the singles after Joyride (still amazing) so I never care for it but now I'm bopping!. Even delusional I love it now

And you say this as she's been consistently selling out shows, but yes...Zero commercial success

 

Can they remove the pink circles from

I'm happy for her but I'm talking about the album. Obviously it's great that she has a sold out tour, I'm only speaking about the album. I'd rather have another Gag Order than a more "successful" album. The songs didn't age great for me whereas GO is still timeless.

I'm happy with how the album went. Sometimes these days eras have a long pre-release and the actual album release is kind of the end of the cycle. Post album singles are hard to pull off especially as a veteran act! And an independent act! This album most definitely was a huge summer soundtrack for me and I'm content.

She probably just wanted to have fun with this album. Gag Order is a masterpiece and her best album but it's also a very heavy album and she's probably just not in that headspace right now. Judging by Freedom's lyrics and her starting the album off with it

All of this, with the exception of dropping Delusional as single #2. Truly think BC could have done something if it dropped in its place, in January/February.

Joyride clears anything on High Road  

 

But I also agree that I haven't return to Period that much 

Red Flag/JOYRIDE/Boy Crazy are three of her best pop songs since the Warrior era. Let's not do too much now.

Not every artist can play in Björk's wig closet and drop their magnum opus as effortlessly as she. I think we need to stop comparing everything to Gag Order. It's a very singular project.

High Road doesn't have anything as bad as LOVE FOREVER, THE ONE and TOO HARD tbh

Anyway where's that folk album she had in the vault that they teased years ago

I agree The One is a Rachel Platton millennial cringe chop that only people who would use the word "adulting" unironically would actually enjoy but how DARE you drag Love Forever and Too Hard into this 

Yeah... LOVE FOREVER., TOO HARD. and GLOW. make me not revisit the album as much as I was hoping I would.

And Kesha completely disregarding my country during the European leg of the tour is not helping me stay tunned.

I'm not a big fan of this era from a "consumer" perspective but I love all the good things that it's bringing her on a personal/professional level.

She's a tourist artiste now, so we'll have to get used to P!nk style middle of the road albums that she releases just so she can go on tour again. 

 

 

I'm not even mad about that, she deserves to rest and enjoy her legacy status.

Imagine hating on the masterpiece that is Too Hard

Please keep in mind that she hasn't toured Europe since 2013…the fact that we are getting Europe shows again for the first time in over a decade is already a miracle.

 

The better the shows sell, the more likely it is more countries will be added.

I'm seeing her for the first time in 8 years in 202 days.
