I guess the album promo is pretty much dead at this point? A shame because Attention had a lot more potential, but the . (...) release was clearly rushed and messy as a result, but I get that they were just trying to push the tour at that point.

 

I really like this album, and it's great to have a real full pop album again from her in over a decade, especially since Warrior is still my fave. But yeah, let's hope she has a better singles rollout next time. Delusional and YKY back to back undoubtedly killed the momentum Joyride built.

Next tour dates are in February (except a fest she's playing in September). Wishful thinking makes me hope we'll get something in between that timeframe, or shortly after the EU leg next spring. 

 

I still think a "!" deluxe variant or EP is a possibility. The Attention remix likely won't do anything to push it, though. 

She should drop another pop album next year. The GP wants fun music from her. More Joyride/Red Flag/Boy Crazy/Attention. Less Yippee/The One/Love Forever. All killer no filler.

if album 2 is more like Joyride, i want album 3 to be more like Machine Gun Love, Dirty Love, Dancing with the Devil, Boogie Feet, etc

I loved couple of tracks on this record, and I think she's doing exactly what she loves right now.

Truly think the album would have been better received by the pop community if she left The One/Yippie/Delusional off the tracklist. Cathedral was the ballad/foil of the album and filled that role perfectly. 

I'd love for her to get a full commitment weirdo electropop album out of her system before she's deep in her 40s…

Still thinking about how this album made absolutely no noise despite all the hit material. Reminder she released Attention like a week after BC and then tried to make a whole moment about renaming Gag Order to "Eat The Acid" which no one is referring to it as. And then updated Delusional artwork that same day.

its kinda avant garde. i like it. the Joyride MV (where she wears that wig) is still so damn good yet minimum at the same time.
