Are you scared?

With the looming threat of WW3 and American fascism are you scared or is your day to day unaffected? I personally had to delete all social media and pick up analog hobbies again just to keep my dooming at bay. I'm so terrified :dancehall: I can't tell if I'm over or under reacting at times.

As a Black trans American I have always lived like this. It wasn't until a few years ago when it started to get better so I'll be fine.    Learn how to protect yourself and those you love. F

Actually yes because this sh*tshow will eventually reach the "small people" like me who will risk losing their jobs

That one has a billion streams, we need people to stream this underrated masterpiece

I'm scared every single day of living in the collapse of society.

Poor people  know how to survive. We did it in the 90s, during the 2008 recession, during covid and we will do it again. :michael:

Not really. I've learned through history how things move and there are periods of prosperity and peace, and other more bleak periods of conflict and mayhem (out on Friday). This seems like a period of change, and maybe that's what this world needs because it's already f***ed up.

I wouldn't say I'm scared. I'm more disappointed if anything with everything that's happening. But all I have is the present time, so why wasting time on being scared when I can delve myself into art, into music or do the things I love while I can.

And if war comes, we'll worry about that when it happens, but not right now.

I'm livid, boiling with rage at how indifferent the average American has been, to allow things to reach this point. Most people born late-Millennial or Z have never known "good times," and it seems like things are going to get worse from here.

Yes. I'm considering getting a dual citizenship and living with family in the Philippines if things get really bad here in the US.

It's the "I got mine" mentality.

not for myself bc i'm very privileged but scared for trans ppl and others getting attacked:eli:

The Cold War didn't go hot you shouldn't be worried about this proxy war. The only reason the West is worried this time is that it's happening on their doorstep instead of thousands of miles away like they usually do.

Yes, but I try to not think about it. Because it makes no sense worrying about something I can't control.

Don't be scared, you'll be with other gays and hot men when you get conscripted

Yeah the anxiety is starting to get pretty bad for me. The plus is that I'm overcompensating by focusing on

my fitness. But it's a cycle of working out a lot to keep the bad thoughts at bay. Might not be super healthy but meh.

I'm afraid for not only my future as a Latino gay man in the US but even my financial security feels really threatened right now. I'm in a relationship with someone I want to marry so it's looking like I have to speed it up because gay marriage is on the chopping block. I have friends who are not citizens who are so worried and I feel hopeless in not being able to help them. Just in general feeling heavy for everyone who has to suffer even though they didn't vote for this. The whole thing is a **** show.

Not really no. I cope through humor and am prepared to do the work to build for a better future, even if I die. Death isn't as good as living but it surely beats survival.

While you made the right choice in picking up physical hobbies, just think that anyone can randomly slip and hit their head on the ground and die or that YR4 asteroid hits Earth and kills us all before a WW3 even begins. Anything can happen in life, good or bad so when you think about it, there's no point in worrying about it especially when it hasn't even happened yet. Don't let it get in the way of you enjoying your life as you should. :heart2:

Just think that you did what you can and you didn't vote for that...person so you can sleep soundly at night knowing you didn't contribute to the rise of fascism and stupidity.

I don't think WW3 is happening for now. However, we should all learn how to budget cause a recession worse than 2008 is coming
