What do tops want? Like literally what?

Featured Replies

I'm so done with these stuck-up tops on Grindr. They act like they're literally gods. Like, what do you want, *****? It's as if they reject 99% of guys unless they have muscles, a symmetrical face, basically, the whole idea of perfection. And if they do like you and send the bare minimum, like a "hi," there's no follow-up conversation, you just get left on read. If you try again and reach out a second time, you look desperate, and they immediately dismiss you. Sometimes, it feels like they're just feeding their egos, wanting attention but never actually doing anything. And on top of that, apparently, there's no top shortage either, because their numbers have only increased recently.

Thanks for this insightful reply. Apparently not, though.

Your problem is you're expecting decency on Grindr.

Most "tops" on Grindr are not actually tops. Just add an eggplant to your name and you will see.

Real tops just want their dick sucked and waxed holes.

Grindr is a hooking-up app, what do you expect from the people there, try other apps where people are actually looking for a meaningful connection!

Lots of guys are on there just to waste their own and other peoples' time simply because they have nothing better to do. They are DL p*ss*es who are bums in real life. Especially the older ones who are either way too nice or way too stuck up. Stay away 🤢

It's not just the tops, it's everybody :dies: Plus the platform doesn't help, it makes everyone anxious and behave stupidly (myself included :cm:)

Most people on Grindr, whether top or bottom, are trolls though. Don't take that app seriously.

If you want decent guy, Grindr is not for you :suburban:

It's not just tops, most of the guys on there are only there to either feed their ego or push their social media platforms to get new followers :rip: the guys that genuinely use Grindr for hookups are either creepy older men or DL guys with a torso as their profile pic

Send them proof that you purchased Abracadabra on iTunes and Amazon! That always works for me

When it comes to gay men who identify as "tops" (typically men who prefer being the more dominant or active partner in sexual situations), their wants and desires can vary greatly depending on the individual. However, there are a few common things that many tops might look for, both in and outside of a sexual context:

  1. Mutual Attraction and Connection: Like anyone, tops often seek a partner with whom they share a strong emotional and physical connection. This can be important in both romantic and sexual relationships.

  2. Respect and Communication: Tops tend to value clear communication about desires, boundaries, and needs. Respect and understanding of each other's limits are key in any relationship.

  3. Active Role in the Relationship: In terms of sex, tops usually enjoy the active role and the sense of control or leadership during intercourse. Many tops also take pleasure in being able to "please" their partner through this dynamic.

  4. Reciprocal Desire: Tops often want to feel desired by their partner. Knowing that the bottom (or the receptive partner) is enthusiastic and engaged in the experience can be important for many tops.

  5. Sexual Health and Safety: Many tops are concerned with mutual health and safety in their sexual encounters. They might prioritize the use of protection (condoms, etc.) and prefer partners who are also conscious of sexual health.

  6. Physical Stimulation: In addition to emotional connection, tops generally enjoy physical pleasure as well. This might include having their own needs met during sex, whether through kissing, mutual masturbation, or other forms of stimulation.

  7. Variety and Exploration: Just like anyone else, some tops enjoy variety in their sexual experiences, whether that's trying new positions, toys, roleplay, or exploring different dynamics with a partner.

It's important to note that not all tops are the same, and every individual has their own preferences and desires, just as with any other part of someone's identity. Communication is really the best way to understand what a specific person might be looking for!

I got lazy and I used ChatGPT's response as copypasta.

Maybe try being the top you want to see in this world.

Purely anecdotal, but based on my gay sports club, a lot of tops are more interested in relationships.  Many of the tops are more likely in relationships.  Of course they go through phases of being a ****, but generally are not just looking for sex just to have sex.

Grindr is no good in my area so I don't particularly care what those freaks want. The guys are 65 years old and/or white trash hillbillies who look like meth addicts. I know there are better gay guys in the area. I've seen them in public. I'm not sure where the quality gays go to meet people (assuming they aren't already taken).

I really hope all my gays get free from grindr on day...

There's no rules, common sense, or decency there at all. It's all about being horny and getting laid as quick as you can.

Don't expect communication or humanity there, it's just balls.
